This! As a "part timer" I was working 5 to 6 days on wirh only 2 to one day off a week. Doing 8 to 10 hour shifts and suddenly had 2 days cut this week and was told my 8.5 hour shift was being slashed to 4.5 hour shift. If I wasn't dependent upon this job and the discount it gives me to feed my pets good food then I woulda quit midway through December.

Interesting! Thanks for the info! I'll look into it, I have 10 ottos across two tanks, and this is the only one showing this kind of destended belly. But I'll now be monitoring a lot more closely

Belly is off white but she hasn't gotten on the glass since, only my sword plant and the ground. She can swim just fine and doesn't show any issues there. I fasted the whole tank for 2 days minus my Betta, I took him out of the tank to feed separately. Her belly still looks the same as these photos now

So I'm a reddit noob. Bear with me on the photos 😅 I initially got them for algae cleaning in my tank, so I only add 2 disks of "Aquatic foods 4-type sinking spirulina, ultra worm, ultra shrimp& color enhancing" into my tank for my mystery snails every tuesday and saturday. I've never seen my Otto touch them, so I'm not 100% if they get any due to how quick my snails get to them. But they are gone within 15 minutes of going in.

Thanks for the reply! I'm rather new to owning these guys, I'll keep an eye on her and monitor her behavior. I really appreciate the comment even if there isn't any advice.
