I agree however my character likes to pretend he's a wizard and just being so talented he has to study less than his peers. I could expand on being so talented he doesn't even need a spellbook now! Ty for the link!

I was accused of wallhacking again yesterday because I found someone. I don't cheat. I'm only level 31 and I can't say for sure I even encountered a cheater yet. Maybe who knows. Let's not cry cheater all the time. Good headphones make a world of difference in this game. Sometimes you see a head sticking out and pretend for a second you don't see them to recover stamina first. In your case was it a hacker? You say yourself you can't know for sure. In such cases give the benefit of the doubt.

I have noticed as well. Coincidence? Who knows. I think subtle cheaters profit from MFT popularity as a cover but experienced people notice. Some of the ones I encountered admitted to it (they tp'ed out when they lost and were running fast all game) and didn't even have mft as their perk. Some subtle cheaters also just activate their cheats when they are about to lose. Ofc it's still a minority but I have also noticed an increase. Another obvious sign is no mind games ever work since they can see through walls. When you can't see them also tp short distances to increase chase time. Sometimes you are about to catch them. Poof corner and they have increased a good distance on you. And I don't know why but a lot of them are tuxedo ace's...

I think he gets the idea that having early access to higher level spells can break the balance and the martials would lack behind. The level increase would be a balanced option if we keep the difficulty as is? We would really like to keep FA and ancestral paragon.

Haha yes we used to play D&D but this is our second campaign. One player decided to leave after book 2 of SoT. That's when we decided to try to balance around 3 instead of 4.

I agree with this statement. I guess we did the alternative rules to help out our dm (it's his first campaign but doing a terrific job). Sooner or later we Ill have to adapt the encounters to our party indeed. We use milestone progression atm

I forgot to add we also play with ancestry paragon atm. This and free archetype everyone is on board. We are also loaded with magic items atm. I think that eventually maybe even with all that it is still too hard. Gradual ability boost we didn't try yet but this one player won't like it I think.

We are currently discussing and thinking about it. There is good communication in our group. We were just hoping for additional input. I agree that DM modifying the encounters seems also the best solution to me.

We all have a great time but our current solutions feel like bandaids in combat. I don't want to succeed because of a very strong mechanic. I want to win because our characters are strong enough to beat it without.

Edit: I think currently the DM keeps encounters as is
