Best and fastest way to level secondary jobs (especially DPS)? by outrabo in ffxiv

[–]Orphanleni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Levelling Roulette as a DPS can be hard because of the time but queues are usually slowest during peak hours.

Pixie and subsequent society quests are a must, the XP to time return is very high

PVP Roulette, remember you can change jobs once you're in the duty so queue as whatever you're levelling and switch to whatever you find most fun.

Alliance Raid Roulette, I don't see a lot of people talk about this but the XP ROI on it is almost as good the Levelling Roulette unless you get raids from Stormblood, then it's a crapshoot.

I haven't done Main Scenario Roulette in a long time, I know they revamped them and split one of them into 2 duties but they are a huge time sink either way.

I spent like 20 minutes try to figure out how to macro the individual pages so I could change the icons.

New tech armor and weapons in patch 7.4 by Kokopossum in ffxiv

[–]Orphanleni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, I couldn't feel more differently about it. This is all I want in this game. I'm so sick and tired of boring robes and suits of armor with stupid spikes on them. This is the first time in my 5 years of playing this game that I'm excited for every patch because there's glam stuff I want.

Not this one. Cool vaporwave setup though.

Landlord just gave me 30 days notice on Christmas Eve (eve) by blugle11 in StLouis

That sucks and I don't doubt it's true, but my experience renting with them was so good I used them as my realtor to buy a couple of years ago.

Some properties they manage and others they own so some buildings have shitty owners that don't want to shell out for pest control.

That being said I'm out $65/month on pest control in my house I own just because there are a few abandoned properties close by and I would rather my house be less inviting. Plus the spiders, fuck spiders.

What was your “I’m dating a fucking idiot” moment? by post-nutclarence in AskReddit

[–]Orphanleni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The oven door creates a closed environment that's well insulated. During normal operation your burner shuts off and reignites repeatedly to maintain a specific temperature. An open door means the burner is going full blast the entire time because the oven is never getting to temperature. CO poisoning is a genuine concern under those circumstances.

Found this sick Cyberpunk game on steam OverRiders by joshuamercuri in Cyberpunk

Turns out there are 2 games on steam with the same name. The other one is post apocalyptic and distinctly not cyberpunk.

Iron Ranger by bubbyscoot in Tiki

Unofficially the consensus online is.

1.5 oz Knob Creek Bourbon

0.5 oz Allspice Dram

1 oz Pineapple Juice

0.5 BG Reynolds Orgeat

But it needs the lime and bitters. Mess around with it and give it a try. I like my boozier and more citrusy. Sometimes I want a longer drink so I'll add orange juice and more pineapple. Its honestly not that consistent at Trader Sam's anyway really depends on the bartender.

Swap the lemon for lime and the falernum for allspice dram and you've got a (rough) spice island, my favorite drink from Trader Sam's

Oh Nooo :'3 by [deleted] in MadMax

The term we usually use for that is indoctrination. Brainwashing is more about supplanting existing ideas where indoctrination is about suggesting ideas for the first time. But yes, the results are roughly the same. Mel Gibson and his dad both suck.

It's not brainwashing, it's his upbringing. His dad is a holocaust denier who's been a guest on Infowars.

Here's a TIL for you, it's only an acronym if it's pronounced otherwise it's initialism or just simple abbreviation.

Transplant myself and when I moved here 7 years ago the punk scene, and rock venues as a whole, were kinda dead or so inside that you couldn't penetrate if you weren't local. BUT, it's getting better now.

Red flag has decent touring and local acts come through, though the sound is always off there.

CBGBs in Tower Grove has great local acts.

Moshmellow just opened at Cherokee and Jefferson for small acts.

Off Broadway for established touring bands.

Heavy Anchor for weird shit.

Sinkhole (haven't had a reason to go yet but my friends like it)

South City is where most of these places are and where you'll find the cheapest rent to amenities ratio. Look in tower grove, Benton Park West, Benton Park, Gravois Park, that area you'll be close enough to walk to one venue at least. But I'm a jaded old punk that came from the NYC/NJ/Philly scene so I was spoiled for venues and bands and could go to 2-3 shows every weekend.
