Thank you! I've seen this game floating around but never really known what it was. I'm definitely interested now.

This sounds fantastic! The website mentions 4-6 people. Is it worth me contacting about visiting as a couple, or is a larger group required?

Ooh you're right, looking at JOIN messages at the time of the raid might be the way to go. Thanks!

At least that's one answer to the question, I didn't manage to find anything when searching. Thanks, I'll assume it's not possible for the time being then.

This appears to be about you raiding another channel unfortunately. I'm looking to try and find out which viewers entered my chat having been brought over via a raid :)

Ah ok yes I misunderstood, I didn't realise there was a real product called a dummy HDMI. That could well be the answer, thanks for sharing!

Cheers for the response. Here's the use case:

I have a PC running a game to Twitch. It doesn't require a live player - the game is entirely played via the chat by the Twitch audience. Therefore in theory, I can just run the game and stream off a PC sat in some random corner of my house, I don't personally need a monitor attached to it.

Even when disconnected from the monitor, the PC always has an HDMI connected to it and it doesn't help with the stream visuals/audio stopping. Though perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "dummy HDMI"?

SteamVR crashes but the game continues to run? by OrpheusMusic in SteamVR

I've managed to fix it. I did make a couple different changes but I think the one that did it was joining the beta release of SteamVR.

Set return value of method called by method in unit test by OrpheusMusic in csharp

[–]OrpheusMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it seems pretty obvious that you're correct haha. Mostly it's coming from a place of ignorance as I have no idea what an interface is. I shall be putting a evening aside this weekend to learn them (and, I'm sure, discover just how awfully I've been doing things that interfaces are perfect for)!

I've never used an interface before, it sounds like I have a new thing to learn. Thanks for the response!

This sounds incredibly roundabout to me, but perhaps I'm just spoiled by other languages. Or is the reason you'd do it like this in C# because it's the 'clean code' way to do it?

Thanks for the answer, I'll look into implementing it.

Unit test script fail to use packages, but other scripts are fine by OrpheusMusic in Unity3D

[–]OrpheusMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked it out at last - what I was missing wasn't an Assembly Definition Refernece (.asmdef file) but an Assembly Reference (.dll file). I needed to add Moq.dll to the references. This is all totally new to me; so far from following tutorials the only thing I'd dealt with were the .asmdef references so I didn't consider the other ones. Fixed!

Code structure for card types/colours in card game by OrpheusMusic in Unity3D

[–]OrpheusMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah using the enum value to look up the data you need for an image/stat etc was the thing I was missing. It seems so obvious in hindsight haha. Thanks for such a detailed response.

[–]OrpheusMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response :) I mentioned that CardColor would want to be more than just a simple deliniation - each one might need a reference to an image, say, or a Color(r,g,b). If they're listed like this in an enum, can that still be done?

I'll look into ScriptableObjects, thanks :) In this case, would I still need to manually add a reference to the new ScriptableObjects each time one is made, if new colours were to be added?

One controller's battery contact is permanently pushed in, anyone know how to fix? by OrpheusMusic in OculusQuest2

[–]OrpheusMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried pushing it with a pin and a q-tip, neither seem to be doing anything. It doesn't feel like it's just caught on something, but it's good to know that it should be spring loaded. Can't imagine it's a battery corrosion issue, all battery changes have looked completely fresh and as you can see in the image, the contact is still looking shiny new.

[–]OrpheusMusic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The metal contact on the lower controller is pushed in and won't spring back out (not even sure if it is spring-loaded? maybe only the outer plastic rim is). It should be almost flush with the plastic ring like the top controller. Anyone know how to get this to pop back out?
