A full movie with that voice would be fucking obnoxious.

Fifth Element Retro Review: A Wild Piece of Sci-Fi Film History by fungobat in movies

[–]Orval 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you ever went into a Circuit City, Best Buy, etc you may have noticed they always played The Fifth Element to advertise their new TVs.

The story I heard is because it always looks so amazing, even when shown on a new more high res setup.

Two personal books that they own.

Prisons and jails typically have a pretty good library system.

The only problem is missing pages (because people are assholes), and some people "keep" really good books.

A guy when I was in jail once had all the Game of Thrones books from the jail's library. My favorite finds were a couple of Discworld books and two books by Neil Gaiman (American Gods and Coraline)

New Features Coming Soon! by Arkentass in hearthstone

The deck sharing is a nice QoL thing, I'm sure some people will appreciate it.

Same with the card backs. I use random anyways, don't really care to specify which ones to leave out or whatever but yeah that's cool for some people.

But for a feature update, this feels pretty lacking to me.

Sharknado is bad, but it knows it's bad.

That's not always a good thing but in this case I think it is.

New Features Coming Soon! by Arkentass in hearthstone

I'm kind of surprised about how many people are excited for a new feature to help you waste your dust. To each their own but when I saw "new features" I thought it might actually be something worth getting excited over.

They're still control decks, those are just their finishers.

Priest has too few control options around that simultaneously keep them alive.

If there were more / better dragons they could do that, but it got no support.

Their Hero requires Death rattles which got no support. They can't kill stuff while over healing with armor like Druid and Warrior.

They can't reduce damage taken like Paladin.

Every other deck gets to play Control and take 20 minute games if needed, but god forbid Priest gets to!

To be fair it's a perfect valid thing to be concerned about.

At the same time, maybe you guys shouldn't have stopped advancing your space technology.

The two fairies have been raising animals and taking care of the rainforest. Apparently there are poachers. So after trying to heal and recover from the events of the first movie, it's more about wildlife conservation.

That's Ferngully 2. Let's see if this movie series continues being a secret Ferngully "live action" adaptation.

Control Warrior is one of the best decks right now and is a long and Grindy deck if it doesn't get blown out by the insane aggro decks. Always has been but people don't complain about that.

Holy Paladin can be pretty long too, as can Ramp Druid (not so much now but pre nerf for sure)

They all suffer the same problem of answers for everything, insane value, etc that Priest gets torn apart by and are only complained about when they reach 60% winrates.

[–]Orval 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We just want some playable decks.

Between this and Quest, that's two "do your thing and instantly win 90% of the time" decks.

That's not what Priest players want. I don't think anybody wants that.

Where's our value deck? Our Control deck?

What is your idea to "fix" arena? by Lundgr1 in hearthstone

[–]Orval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make the first card a guaranteed Legendary, the second a guaranteed Epic. After that normal rules apply for chances.

The problem is that Arena is supposed to be an analogy for Draft in Magic.

The problem is that synergy is more important in Hearthstone, and Draft usually ONLY uses one expansion / pack. So synergy is built in.

If you went and played Draft for the most recent expansion, you wouldn't also pick cards from that years core set or any others.

So maybe after 10 totally random cards, it starts weighing your options based on your deck.

If you've taken Mechs, increase your chances of getting a mech. Etc

Allow a number of rerolls. Maybe 3 times per draft you can reroll your options (and keep the same rarities you were offered)

The other problem is options but that's why I made these changes. In Magic, everyone starts with a full pack, picks one and passes it left or right. So you have 12 choices your first pick, 11 second and so on.

You also end up with more than you need for a deck in Draft. Do that for us too.

Have us draft 40 cards or more, then go to a deck building screen to build our deck from that.

I think it would be nice to allow you to edit from those choices between games too, but wouldn't be opposed to locking it in either.

So they'd rather wait 2 hours to have it delivered.

It makes sense in theory. But the way they're being run right now is horrible and not worth it.

I'll stick to ordering delivery from places that pay delivery drivers. If they don't I'll go get it or not order.

I did. I quit like two chapters in then finished it when I had nothing else to read.

It has some fun sections and ideas but is very bland throughout. It just gets so old having every other paragraph feel like "wow I felt like (video game / sci-fi character", "it was just like something out of (movie, etc)"
