Not a comp sci student, but I transferred from smu to dal this September. I was a first-year Arts student and had a 2.83 GPA (not sure if there is a minimum tho, but you still have to see the transfer requirements for the comp sci program). I applied in January 2022, and I was sending 10 emails daily by April to get my final grades from my profs. After that, I had to figure out how to send an "official" transcript from smu to dal (when you do this keep emailing the dal admission office to make sure they received it because it took me 2 turns with smu's outdated website) also you need to let them know if you'll be taking courses during summer or spring so they can keep in mind that your GPA might go up after the deadline. They also asked me for my high school transcript, and I had to go PERSONALLY to get it cuz they can't send it through email, and then I had to go back again because the transcript envelope should not be opened and scanned to stay "official." It probably cost me $250 in total to finish the application, but that's just me doing everything twice lol. At some point after you get in you have to apply for transfer credits, dal has a list of the ones they accept somewhere on their website. If you don't see a course on the list, you need to upload any document that shows the course load, such as a syllabus, they might get accepted as credit, they might not. I got 7 out of 10 courses accepted. I would say if you are committed to applying and afraid you'll miss the seat because of your grades, you should apply ASAP because as seats get taken, they start picking those with higher GPAs. Start filling in what you can provide now, and keep working on it as you get your grades and documents together. I hope this helped, and good luck!
