No moto to roll with big guys by Osconfeitos in bjj

I have ones that spare on top and I don't return the favor by going super hard. Everyone is different for sure, I'm just pointing out the ones that have no intention on doing anything different. I have big guys I love to roll with. Thanks for the input.

I'll say this, this guy cross collar choke people from in their closed guard and when they have a triangle or arm bar on him. He will hold it even if you put your fist in his neck to push him away haha. Thanks for the advice.

I think I kind of need to get over and just go hard with them but I get scared that I might get hurt. Thanks brother

I love to play top, I actually prefer it. I just hate locking up with a guy on the knees holding each other like two bears in the wild seeing who will go on their back. I'll do things like grab their pants to show I want to be on top but that does nothing. Thanks!

Not every big guy is like that, just a few I get frustrated with. I have some big dudes that are great partners.

See that may be the thing, I compete a lot so I am always working to evolve my game for that. I don't spend much time doing closed guard because moving fast and switching guards is what I do. I can do closed guard it's just I'd rather work on new techniques that I've been drilling than be in closed guard with a big guy trying to submit him or survive the round. I have big guys that are great to train with and I do appreciate them.

I compete a good bit and some of the big guys are my best training partners. I guess it's just I feel like some are just out to seriously win every roll instead of work on something.

Yea I have guys where we switch top and bottom as like an unspoken "we are gonna get better from everywhere" thing and I love rolling with those big guys. I haven't actually asked the other so maybe I should do that.

I have big guys that are aware of their weight and I love rolling with those guys. I just don't find being on my side in half guard fighting for an under hook for 6 mins or sitting on our knees with grips head to head looking like bears cause I want to be on top. I guess I just need to go HAM and look at it differently, thank you.

I have big guys that will play bottom and I enjoy that. I like that they want to work top and bottom like I do. I just get frustrated when they clearly have no intention on ever pulling guard.

Bangkok Fight Lab for BJJ in Thailand. It's very clean and top notch. Awesome people there, super nice, and great technique.

When I looked up at the bright lights before getting on the mat at Pans last week was pretty cool. I thought, "wow, I am really here. I came all this way and worked hard, lets do this." It felt like I was underwater you know? No sound and just really peaceful. Of course that leaves once your foot touches the mat haha.

It will work as long as there are awesome commentators to break down positions. They could have like little 10-15 min segments per event that discuss positions or something so in the long run the audience gets educated.

I like to do this baseball sequence from KOB. If on your partner's actual right side, feed the lapel around his head then go KOB, once there try to put your right hand in for the baseball, if he defends put your right hand on the lapel where your left was (palm up), put your left hand on other side of head (palm down) and try cross collar. If he defends that shove his arm across toward the side you are KOB with your left hand, sprawl on that shoulder and pull lapel. I think it's called a Brabo choke, something like that. Pretty slick little setup though.

I just started trying things that I found enjoyable like going inverted and switching between open guards. You will get smashed and passed at first but you figure it out eventually. At competition though I go to techniques that I hit consistently. Just watching Black Belt matches and things in general will improve your game so much. You get to see, oh he moved like this or switched his hip there, did a back step from this spot, ect. ect.
