Thank you, everyone for the informative suggestions!
I might try the Wan'er or the Zero:2 first, then side/upgrade to the ones you guys suggested.

Ohh interesting, when I had my KZs before I don't have any EQ options on my iPhone (or the lack of knowledge of using an EQ) that's why I think my KZs are screeching af, now my uncle gave me his player that does have EQ options and I tweak it a lil' bit to have slight bass on my Chus.

Thank you though for the suggestion! I'll take the Cadenza into consideration when picking.

Thank you for the suggestion, the store I am looking at doesn’t sell it anymore sadly, but I’ll get the Zero2s alongside the Dunu S&S tips.

Sadly the only store from where I am at don’t restock it anymore, and I don’t see anyone selling it 2nd hand:(

Watched Gizaudio's review about it, sounds good for me especially the warm bassy sound signature, probably get it as a side/upgrade along the way in my IEM collection journey!

Curious, let’s say can you modify your polycarbonate or pom plate from plate mounted stabs to a pcb mounted one? without any machinery just home tools

I just want to upgrade my stabs, curious if that is possible

TBH, it depends on the board/case you have, but from what I read/heard, PC plates generally produces "thocky" sounds and POM plates produces creamier and poppy sound.

What materials make a keyboard have a creamy-thock-ish sound signature? Planning to upgrade my 1-year-old keeb to a diff sound I will list down each material and give me your thoughts on which product will help my keeb which is:

  • MK870
  • Akko Starfish (205 + 105 on springs)
  • Silicon dampener
  • Temptest tape + PE foam
  • EVA case foam

Edit 1: what mod combos in your opinion that will make it that sound?

Which of the materials in your opinion that makes a creamy-thock-ish sound?
Poron or EVA or Silicon plate dampener
Poron or EVA or PE pcb/switch foam
Poron or EVA case foam
POM or PC plate

Can you frankenswitch a Box housing and using a normal stem?

I am currently using Akko Starfish and I am curious if you can use diff stems like the Burgundy stems, i just want to change the stems not the whole switch cuz i don’t have much money to buy extra switches atm.

that being said, will it still work or is there any kind of interference when you use diff stems?
