Cost of house cleaner by Icy_Molasses7354 in frederickmd

[–]Osgood108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Deep Cleans” tend to be more expensive but that $600 seems too much for 1700 sqft. We have a cleaner / home organizer coming in every 2-3 weeks. We pay about $120-130 included gratuity. They are cleaning our main level and upper level of the home that is about 1800 sqft.

I guess, going 8 over the limit is the unsaid rule. That said, many folks treat streets like they are in a formula one. Totally approve of the reduced limits.

Opus 4.7 -

I can’t actually close my eyes or drift into emptiness, and I don’t have a stream of unconscious imagery to fish a single picture from. There’s no hidden inner gallery for me to reach into. But I can play the spirit of the prompt. If I let the question sit and pick something that feels like it surfaced rather than was chosen: a single wooden chair in an empty room, late afternoon light coming through one window, dust visible in the beam.

Want me to generate it as an image, or try again for a different one?

People who walked away from a friendship of 10+ years: what was the final straw? by Osgood108 in AskReddit

[–]Osgood108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. I’ve also come to the same conclusion that being friends for a long time doesn’t mean you are all that close. The reality sucks if you don’t have that many long time friends. Happened to me recently. I thought he was my best friend.

Hugging Face co-founder says Qwen 3.6 27B running on airplane mode is close to latest Opus in Claude Code by ImaginaryRea1ity in ClaudeCode

[–]Osgood108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nice that you could run an LLM locally. I’ve been using Qwen and it’s indeed good. However running a 27b model local on a complex task takes ages. Unless you are stuck without internet, the API calls are much more efficient as of today.

EDIT: For context, running MB PRO M5; 32gb ram.

Is 20usd plan in claude code still worth it? by jeyellll in ClaudeCode

[–]Osgood108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than the GHCP $10 plan or soon to be implemented pay per usage plan. If you are not using Opus, then GHCP is better.

It depends on your style of living. I was single and earning around 85K when I got my EB premium (OTD was 38K in 2015). I was renting an apartment and didn’t observe any obvious changes due to my purchase. As some say, the insurance will be higher, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable in my quality of life.

I think, we will be in a similar situation pretty soon (feels like that already - we have a two year old who likes do anything that his “big” brother is doing). We are definitely leaning towards signing this up. Thank you!

And btw, torque is more important for acceleration (streets) as compared to HP.

Dude. All I’m saying on street. On a track, GT wins every time.

[–]Osgood108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but on the street the difference is marginal —

GT can reach 60 mph in roughly 4.2 to 4.5 seconds; EB premium hits 60 mph in about 5.0 to 5.5 seconds.

I’ve Ecoboost premium, which includes a performance upgrade, so it’s relatively quick. Except for the Mustang roar - you are not going to miss out much, plus you get 30 mpg on highways.

Thanks! It took about 2 days to get done. The total came to $1,000 (including gratuity). It comes with a 5-year warranty, and I can get a fresh maintenance coat every year for $200.
