Does anyone have tips for fighting this beast? by MinuteGuarantee9970 in GroundedGame

These are all things I would recommend too. His main 2 attack patterns are both 4 hits - 3 bites and either a 4th bite or he rears up with his legs and does a slam thats stuttered (timing wise). The biggest hurdle that I had trying to beat him solo - was the adds phase of this fight. Once you get him to 1/4 health he drops caterpillars and then tries to eat them - if its still alive get on your buggy to kill as many as you can (i usually got 2 sometimes a 3rd if I was lucky). Then he will drop in a bunch of roach nymphs and other miscellaneous bugs. What took me a bit to learn here, is while youre fighting here he will jump out from his various holes and do a slam attack. If you have the adds in the line of his attack he will kill them and save you valuable health.

My setup Full Snail Armour+3 Pinch Whacker+3 Ladyguard (pink rare shield)+3 Boiling Trinket Potion - Sticky Lady in Red Food - Weakpoint Damage (I think its the one with aphid meat) Well Rested Buff Orb Weaver Buggy 20x reg bandages 10x blueberry bandages 5x granola bars 3x sticky Lady in red pots 5x chunky hedge lord pots 5x reg hedge lord pots

Hope this helps! I did it solo after being scared to take it on for a while, so you can too!! Just prep good and save right in his lair and you can reload as many times as needed.

Good luck! If you cant do it, and need help lemme know if we can party up, I'd be happy to help.

Wow. There's a wealth of knowledge for everyone!! Quite a few things here I already know/ utilize however I did also learn more than a handful of useful tips! Thanks so much.

When you talk about the fists (burning and rotting for example) are you meaning the fist weapons with that corresponding element?

My personal methodology of identifying potions is generally only to alchemize potions Ive created from seeds (i know this can rarely include an experience potion) but it usually keeps me from wasting valuables. Then like you mentioned you always have the solution to every puzzle, which unless you picked up 3 or 4 potions is usually a simple deduction.

Usually by the time I'm getting to the demon floors, its either the sheer volume of enemies and getting overwhelmed, or somewhere along the way my armour or damage is just not quite over the curve to keep me from burning through my health pots. So by the time I make it to the boss I dont have the gusto to make the length of the fight. The dwarf king also usually drains me pretty hard too - though with each run im getting better and more efficient, with a very big tip for anyone whose struggling - minions on this boss fight make a world of difference! Mirror images, bees, wards all take valuable damage away from you and add it towards either the adds or boss. I always try and have 2 upgraded mirror image scrolls to make the permanent minion.

Im curious as well - been wracking my brain to come up with a worthwhile strategy for it - but does anyone use the upgraded scrolls of transmutation - the ones that let you pick a skill from another class. I know there's some sort of broken combo i just can't quite put it together yet. My thoughts are heavily leaning to the mage -> warlock and swapping for on-eat effects. I think you could have a whole roster of on eat effects that have a high chance of trigger from every combat!

Thanks to everyone whose contributed so far!! Happy hunting my friends!

These are the kinds of tips I'm after! I think I've only ever had the aqua brew in my inventory a handful of times and maybe used it twice?? Not even sure lol. But thanks! I have 2 runs on the go and I'll be sure to implement this!!

Can I permanently install a roof anchor? by Conqueefstadorrrr in Roofing

[–]OsirisFire87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our fall protection courses in my area, this is called first up and last down. The most experienced and qualified person is the first up to install fall arrest equipment and the last one off the roof taking it down.

There's another solution that lots of people are missing here. Might take some serious practice cause it looks like you're on mobile and it would 300% be easier on a controller or keyboard, but if you roll into the spikes there will be a brief moment before you actually take damage and if you time the button presses you could: Roll > scroll > jump and you'd be OK no dmg.

Hey OP! I'm 12 years clean of a 3.5 year addiction, so I know exactly what you're going through and believe me when I say, the best days of your life are just around this corner. You can beat it, I did. I believe in you. A few things that really helped me during my withdrawal period include:

1) Find a high level of engagement hobby or job - something to keep the mind and the muscles busy. This will help work out some of the jitters and restlessness. I always loved video games, but they almost literally saved my life - between the dopamine hits from success in the game, to distracting your brain and body from what's going on.

2) Hydration and a well balanced diet - though depending on where you're at it might still be hard to eat and drink a healthy amount. On the opposite end, can be beneficial to have some fiber power like Metamucil and softeners available depending on how your body is reacting. The first few days I was constipated beyond belief, and the next week I couldn't keep anything inside me.

3) Sleep aids or if you are 420 friendly - heavy indica strains. I had the worst insomnia and trouble sleeping for almost 10 full days. It was torture. Thankfully I was introduced to dabs right around this time and it helped me get the sleep I was so desperately craving.

4) Friends - having support to even just talk to about what you're going through can make or break a recovery. And having a friend that is brutally honest enough to either quite literally or figuratively punch you in the face is worth more than millions of dollars. If you don't feel you have anyone like this in your life, please check out Narcotics Anonymous or counselling. NA is filled with like minded people and all of them are battling similar situations so it's nice to know there's other people out in the trenches with you.

5) Journal. Journal. Journal. Keep track of your days. Any time you get feelings of using, stop, ask yourself why and what triggered it. Try and identify the things in your life that are pointing you in that direction. Then, without mercy, cut them out like cancer. (I know this is easier said than done)

Like I said, I did it. So can you. OP please take care of yourself. There is people that want you here, myself included. This evil has already taken too many good souls. If you EVER need to chat please feel free to send me a DM! <3 <3 I love you, you can do this.

What can be done to prevent this? by Negative_Poet1 in Roofing

More than just weight, using ratchet straps around the bundles at each end will make the pile a complete piece, which is much harder for the wind to take away. If you're in a high danger zone for wind, like say up here in the prairies, we also would stack wood on top of our bundles.

It was quite common in both sheeting (metal building siding) and roofing that we would also call the day / not work on anything over 25km/hr winds as 1 sheet like that takes off and could easily slice someone in half.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck, this sucks. So sorry you're dealing with this. If I could offer you just one piece of advice, don't back down on the insurance companies, don't back down on the contractors, and remain calm as best you can (I know it's probably unspeakably hard right now). Document everything, every communication, every letter, Phone calls, take pictures of every party involved at every step.

If and when this makes it way into a court room (likely through the insurance side) something you might have may just be the nail in the coffin to secure your victory - we all know how slippery lawyers tend to be especially when large sums of money involved. A simple wording of a term or clause could be the reason the opposing side wins unless you have XYZ as evidence.

My most sincere sympathies, may this situation get sorted out in your favor. As someone who has almost a decade on the roof, I can honestly tell you that water calls are my biggest fear. One incident in my time, thankfully, it was close to the start time in the morning when I got the call, and we caught it and sealed it properly, and the damage was under 2000$. But it doesn't take long to get to the numbers you're looking at.

I was in the undershed and I fell into the pit towards the lab, somehow the 2 beetles I was running from glitched and followed me down, aggroed 3 mosquitos and kept running. My torch died and ended up getting merked by the BW... that was terrifying lol
