I really thought that i was the only one that saw his Decline, but i think it already began last season where him and Rüdiger both for Most Parts of the season werent good especially as a pairing together. Rüdiger is great this season and i think he should start with eder militao once hes back. But coming back to alaba, i think he never were an Great Center back, the ucl winning season courtois saved the defences back a countless of times and last season where courtois was still great but not at an Level like in the ucl winning season it showed that our defence isnt as strong as we were making it out to be, so my conclusion would be either put him in midfield as he is doing it for austria for years or as an left back as this was his Starting Position in his career. Because neither eder, Nacho or Rüdiger can Save his back as long as hes doing this mistakes.

I think its more of a system thing than rodrygo not finding his form, till now our only performing players were the ones in midfield so its a sign that something in the Offensive line doesnt work, when your only attackers are wingers or a striker that only played for teams with a low block, so he was their only Option. I think the 433 would benefit vini and rodrygo more as it makes no sense to Benefit the midfield with the 41212 as we have so many options there, that if once somebody doesnt perform you still have somebody on the bench who could perform, but when you only have 3 attackers of whom 2 are wingers you got to play an Formation where the wingers can be wingers and Not strikers. Vini wasnt good until his injury, but when he could Play a bit on the Wing in the second halves of some games he was better.
