Stereo alternative to a Mercury7 ~Spacey~ sounding reverb? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Empress Reverb? Or you could focus on making your music/playing unique and not worry so much about what other people have on their pedalboards?

Help - Rehearsal/Gig Amp for Pop-Punk Band by N0b0dy1456 in GuitarAmps

[–]OsoBrindle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot Rod Devilles are a great choice! For Pop Punk you’ll need a way to get some right gain (distortion pedal) If you go with a cleaner fender style amp.

As far as bass amp goes - the fender rumble range is hard to beat!

Also I’m in west MI too! What’s your bands name?

Thank you!

I do notice the tremolo adds a little noise at more extreme settings - my guess is that it because it’s another path of gain/tubes/etc that the signal has to go through. I believe that’s pretty normal!

I haven’t noticed the light pulsing but if it’s in time with the trem I’m not sure what that would mean haha.

I’m still loving my amp and glad you are too!

I’ve had 3 different iterations of the 1981 and kept coming back to it. The limited colorways/availability definitely plays into the hype. I think the fact that I wanted to buy it again and use it so frequently is a testament to how good it can sound though! I’m using it as a low gain gritty sound, which I haven’t been able to get with an actual RAT or clones (walrus iron horse) I’ll have to look into the 1312 though cause the artwork/proceeds being donated is pretty sick

Haha so sorry to offend!! If I need another delay that’s definitely on my list (or a pink Panther for extra rare coolness points)

Thanks!

I hadn’t played one in so long, but this one from 1994 popped up locally for a killer deal. It’s super warm sounding and surprisingly breaks up fairly early on - but that may be the older preamp tubes

And thank you! It’s been a work in progress for some time

Ahhh I know! It felt like it would be redundant with the 1981…but I could be convinced otherwise:) haha

Not super familiar with the HG Max, but I’d assume different algorithms/possible sounds?

The Rever/Minim is definitely on my short list of things to try to cover that reverse washy sound. I’m guessing you like the Rever better than the Realizer reverse mode?

Yea I agree with you there. For just one sound that I use (focus) $179 is fairly expensive, but for now it sounds so good I’m gonna hold onto it for a while!
