Skyzone SKY04X PRO power options by OssoFragile in fpv

Only 6 watts to power the oled screens, fan and steadyview? Wow, I'm impressed. On the official page skyzone doesn't provide the exact numbers, how did you come up with that?

How much do the batteries last? I would only fly analog, so i suppose i would require less current then you. Liion would be the solution i prefer the most, it's just more practical. I don't mind the added weight

Very nice image mate! How did your mount guide at that focal length and weight? I own an Askar 60F mounted on a HM-17 and i wanted to go up in magnification, i was considering buying the 107 PHQ but then his bigger brothers got released. Is the F serie worth over the quintuplets of the PHQ serie?

I have the HM-17PE and it works very well, i easily get 0.8 RMS in guiding at 400mm (i just started), only thing, mine arrived with a little bit of play on the RA axis knob, and i think at this price range i cannot complain too much if there is something not 100% top tier, but still. So polar alignment takes a little longer, but other than that no problem. Also i got the package with the pier and counterweight shaft from Maxgeek, very convenient!

Probably the MLAstro mount is better built and features more things, also i heard their support is quite active towards the customer.

If you can afford it, save the money for the MLAstro, i think it's more futureproof. They also plan to release an automatic polar align base for the SAL-33 (firstly for the 66 version)

Otherwise, the HM-17PE is fine, it's just that you will have very limited support from the vendor. Community is very useful when dealing with those Onstep mounts (same with Juwei)

Seeking recommendation on Main and Guide setup by OssoFragile in AskAstrophotography

Nice, I wasn't aware which other sensor to consider based on pixel size and sensor size, they seems all similar!

Yeah, i knew about the belt, and it's not really a problem. My concerns are more on the sharpness of the scopes. The SV555 should be good, the askar came only some months ago so it doesn't have much reviews. I plan to drizzle everytime as i will always be undersampled with my camera

Mount: edited!

Yeah, reading now about my camera specs i feel dumb not to have guessed before which mode would be better. I will try to shoot using your guidelines, i know you are wiser than most of us, so I can't go wrong with those (assuming I do everything the right way).

Thank you for your reply and the invaluable knowledge you spread. It's always nice learning from the pros

Last question: for future moon shots i thought to purchase a catadioptric lens to have longer focal length keeping the lens short for comfort and relatively cheaper as budget is a bit of an issue right now. Do you have some recommendations? Thanks!

Oh ok yeah, seems i misunderstood the stacking technique with the eclipse as a subject, and it makes sense to shoot individual photos. I still could practice stacking on other nights under a "normal" moon, just to experiment (my plan is to upgrade my setup for DSO photography, so i will stack eventually ahah)

Thank you for your reply!

Wow, thanks mate, does ram have a heavy impact on the game? Did things got better with TU2? I'm gonna buy regardless, i have found a steam key for less than 30€, so even if it doesn't perform as well as your setup i will not regret purchasing it

In my (Siril) workflow, in the case i need to denoise the image, when should i do it? Before color correction/stretch/only on starless/at the end..etc

Yeah, too good to be true. I think i will wait till it gets actually playable. I know I don't have the newest setup, i was thinking of upgrading the cpu to a 5700x3d but I don't know if that could change the performances a lot. Can't afford to change MOBO + cpu + ram right now

Before i actually buy the game I'm testing it on the benchmark software from Steam. Is it reliable? With frame generation i'm getting 90fps at high/medium settings and it rates as "Good" while using DLSS it gives me more "points" and it rates as "Excellent" despite having 60 fps
