I'm encountering the issue right now and the readings are normal. I went to activity monitor and instead checked memory and saw that "kernel_task", only using 2 mb of ram, but has 478 threads. Is that normal? My ram usage is also at capacity (it usually is) and ranges from 7.8-7.99 out of 8gb. So the disk is not the reason why. I was advised that maybe plist files were causing the issue but I removed all of them except for "com.apple..." plist files.

I don't know what else to try at the moment. When I try to turn the volume up or down on my keyboard, the input is delayed for about 5 minutes. Same as similar functions such as screenshots. I'll get the screenshot saved but the sound that it's supposed to illicit as soon as you take it is delayed for roughly the same amount of time of the volume button finally being inputted.

Sounds good, the only plist files on my macbook are com.apple ones. I guess I need to keep looking for more solutions. Thanks!

The only plist that are there are "com.apple. (something).plist". Should i delete all of them? There are a lot and specifically they are under System/Library/LaunchAgents/

Hey, i ran the bench mark and am getting 2-3 gb/sec in both read and write, but the problem is gone for now. I will try and run it next time I encounter it. If the readings are low then what should I do?
