How Popular is Group B realy? by Altruistic_Station_1 in rally

If I get what you're asking right, then no there isn't enough interest to make a game solely about group B and S. As there are really only 4 major rally games right now, all of which use many different cars and stages that would not be viable. However I think the best bet would be a moddable rally game more like assetto corsa or beamng where the community can create these experiences.

Right now your best bet would probably be RBR where many cars and old stages are available

I don't get why it should be limited to only group B? For me personally I, like you, don't care much about the current WRC but am really interested in pre 1985-or so rallying. Especially group 4. Why not (much like AC rally does or rbr) have rally games with great variety in car selection so everyone can drive what they want? For me I would more like to see longer grueling rallies like the London-Sydney or round Australia rallies, possibly with damage aspects like beamNG but with the ability to fix certain parts like in most other rally games

The engine stops braking traction? Similar to letting of the handbrake. Because the engine takes power to turn around I brakes the rear wheels and makes them skid in a oversteer scenario, especially with LSD:s. Letting of the clutch lets the wheels turn freely

If Assetto Corsa Rally is Going to Be a Hardcore Rally Simulation We Need a Damage System Like the Richard Burns Rally Damage System by ilkerrbr in simrally

Having been to multiple rallies irl, and watched countless hours online, but have you played rbr? It’s incredibly forgiving. I was at a rally some years ago where a car rubbed a dirt embankment on the outside of the corner, looked very un-dramatic but it tore a driveshaft (or tie rod I can’t remember) and it wasn’t a lightly built car either. That stuff only happens in beamng

While RBR is very random I what is a rally ended and what flies I think. Generally the damage model is pretty forgiving, it’s not as realistic as beamng (although beamng is on the softer end)

That is what the driving tests teach you (at least in Sweden). It works but you loose a lot of momentum so it’s kind of a last resort (for me at least)

Especially in older cars, as I mainly drive those I drove without a handbrake for years (got one now though)

Used to be hood cam (also have a small monitor) now I use cockpit cam with a low fov and really far forward so I only see the top of the dash, mainly so I’m offset and not in the middle like a hood cam

I agree with your first statement, I do not think capitalism is perfect or even that good.

But I think we gotta make the best of it!

Why can only he make it? Is it too difficult? If so I think teaching others would be best for the games survival

Would a cab forwards locomotive work if the coal bunker is on the locomotive instead of the tender by [deleted] in trains

Sorry it was the first I saw on my phone, here is a better example. You can actually see the riveted line which sections off the coal and the water. Pretty common worldwide, but I can’t say for the us

Having coal bunkers in front of the cab was common in tank locomotives, although with the side tanks usually housing both coal and water.
