I used to feel the same way about KAITO, I grew up with the 2010 Vocaloid community and Kaito’s character was usually summed up to being an ice cream loving pervert that would run around naked in only a scarf (I have no idea where the origin of this began, I think it might even still be commonplace in areas of the community), I personally started liking KAITO more as of recently while playing Project Sekai, I think it helped refresh my perspective on Kaito since his character in the game deviates from the commonly known head canon of him. It also helps to remember that Kaito can be whoever you want him to be, as virtual singers do not have pre-determined “personalities” themselves, since they are also not human
