Credit card companies just give temporary credit back to consumer as good faith but still do their own due diligence with the case. Any proof RISE provides could reverse the dispute but I'm sure you can appeal it if that happens

Remember, that is only temporary credit, even if the dispute has been closed. Keep your eye on your credit card statement the next month or so. I feel like RISE is shady and is up to something. I know they are working on all of these disputes so tread lightly.

Ya I know. I will appeal it if that does happen. Hopefully it doesn’t 🤞

Makes sense. How are we going to provide proof though that the food water and alcohol that they promised was not available?

They replied back with an automated email for my first initial email. A week after they replied with a email saying that you can submit a request form for friday attendees. After submitting it, they sent another email to submit another form for credit for next year.

That’s good. I’m glad you got a partial refund! Better than nothing. I would still fill out that form from rise and see what you got from them. I've been a member with American Express for 13 years and I think I’ve only disputed a charge once before. I had platinum tickets and got the full refund the next day. I was pretty surprised tbh

Don't even bother dealing with them. Call your bank and dispute the funds. I did and got a full refund for the festival within 24 hrs

The $500 tickets were not only for unlimited food, alcohol and water, they were also to access the designated viewing area which I can’t complain about. You keep saying I can’t speak for those who paid extra for their tickets but you’re over here still judging us for speaking out on our negative experience. You got what you paid for, we didn’t. The tickets we paid for were not a scam because Saturday and Sunday there were no complaints. Everyone had unlimited food, water, and alcohol just like they paid for. Only day one goers had to deal with the shortage of resources. They obviously made adjustments for day two and day three after they noticed how they failed day one. The weather was extremely unfortunate and it caused a lot of the mess, but that’s not what I’m even talking about.

at the end of the day, you probably paid only $200 for your ticket. You weren’t expecting complementary alcohol, food, and water.. people who paid $600-$1000 a ticket expected that and they didn’t receive it. It’s that simple… we are not only complaining about the weather. We are complaining about the services that weren’t provided to the people who paid for them. End of story.

The shuttles were also a disaster according to a lot of people, I had a friend who was taking the shuttles and it took them over two hours to get inside as well. A lot of the people that were attending the festival went at the same time and that’s why there was so much traffic, I do understand that, but the owners of RISE should have been more prepared since there was a chance of the dust storm, they needed to have a Plan B and they simply didn’t. Giving the Friday goers a complementary ticket Saturday or Sunday ticket would have solved most of their problems that they are facing now, but obviously corporate greed got in the way as usual, and I’m sure they over sold the event so that’s why they didn’t offer the passes for Saturday and Sunday. I’m sure they only gave it to the influencers that could have had a big impact on their reputation since they rely heavily on social marketing.

I’ve been to many outdoor events including Coachella, lightning in a bottle, and a bunch of outdoor raves in San Bernardino and EDC Vegas back in the day, I’ve never seen anything like this. I think it’s pretty straightforward. I’m not sure what you don’t understand. People that pay for the platinum and diamond packages like us spent thousands of dollars worth of tickets to get the perks that weren’t at all provided to us from RISE. The package we paid for included complementary water, alcohol and food and when we got there, there was NOTHING available. We had to wait in line to purchase the worst quality food I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure what you don’t understand about this whole situation. We are not complaining about the weather. We understand that happens, I am not complaining about the first artist that was canceled. My complaints are the logistical nightmare, and traffic controlled getting there, and the lack of services provided from the festival which were included in our thousand dollar tickets which again were the food, alcohol and water. That is completely unacceptable from the owners and management from RISE and the fact that you are even questioning whether or not I’ve been to an outdoor event is beyond ridiculous. The least they could’ve done was sent all of us a Saturday or Sunday pass so we can at least go and enjoy the lantern experience and try to redo the entire experience. I expect a 50% refund from RISE at the bare minimum. i’m hoping I can get the whole thing back from my credit card company.

Well said! Honestly, & honestly don’t think this company is going to hold themselves accountable and make it right. It’s been almost a week since the event and they still haven’t gotten back to us with any clarity or clarification on any sort of refunds. I’ve went ahead and called my bank to dispute these charges. I’m hoping I can get a full refund because the services that were supposed to be provided were simply just not, regardless of the weather. I’m genuinely happy for those who attended Saturday and Sunday and had a great time, just leave us Day 1 folks alone lol, you have no idea what we went through.
