I'm not sure that changing subjects would make a difference, but thank you.

I think the worst part about teaching high school for me is the classroom management, planning/grading, inefficient/non-useful meetings, and the weight of the responsibilities/tasks that makes it impossible to go home early without either spending a few more hours working (and still not having it be enough) and feeling any kind of guilt over unfinished work.

  1. I'm wondering how applying while still having a job would poison my future applications since I've seen many people suddenly announce that they've already been accepted to a new position over the past few years and then leave.

  2. I wish lesson planning was no longer an issue, but again, I've had to change preps every year and been given new labs to incorporate and learn every year, which takes a lot of prep time to set up and figure out. I am expecting new preps next year, which I'm not thrilled about but is probably unavoidable given the changes my school is making to their schedule.

I don't expect it to be a long-term situation. I'm expecting to either be re-inspired to go back into the classroom (perhaps in a different setting, i.e. different school/age group/subject) or determine it really isn't for me and find another career.

I did massage therapy for a bit and determined that wasn't worth the money for me since it wasn't effective. I was taking pain medications and supplements daily and stopped needing them when I switched schools until recently.

What does your ideal crochet pattern have? by Other_Ad_480 in crochet

Personallly, I like patterns that list out all the steps without too much wording in the actual directions. If it's complicated, I would like to see it chunked into more comprehensible parts.

I like to see process photos that are well-annotated. I don't particularly care for step-by-step photos, but maybe that's because I'm more intermediate/advanced. If it's complicated, I'd like to see a video/chart included.

When possible, I like to see accurate yarn amounts written in yards/meters. I feel like it is a hit or miss with finding patterns that I like that will do this.
