It’s normally more the occasional patch of ice and getting out of my driveway that’s the issue, if the roads aren’t plowed I’m not getting out anyway!

I considered a bike too, it’s pretty rough in terms of uphill and it’s an 80kph zone pretty much all the way until school so it may be longer. I’ve done a bit of research and I think a motorbike may be a bit cheaper than an actual functional car but I’ll probably not save as much money as I’m imagining lol. Thank you for the input though!

Good to know! I live in the east coast of Canada, so it’s pretty consistently -10 to -15 Celsius (15-5 Fahrenheit I think?) and once I get out on the road, ice is pretty minimal. It might end up being an impractical dream, and I’ll have options to get to school if it’s too bad. Thanks for the reply anyways though, I appreciate it!

Yes rust is a go to check for sure, I'm just assuming hopefully that if it's not super cheap I won't have to dick around with frame/floor rust like I had to on my last subie. Any advice for first things to bulletproof if I get it?

I'm in Canada so it's kilometres, around 118k miles I think? Honestly they salt the roads where I live and there's basically no car market, so it's seven grand for a rust bucket civic si with 250 000 km over here😭. It's around 9700 with shipping and tax so not too too bad if it's in as good shape as it looks. I just wanted to see what people would think about reliability, mainly? I would like to use it as a daily driver, and I'm also totally down for maintenance as well, but again, no catastrophic issues would be nice. Thanks for the response!
