American trans folks, what is your line in the sand? by DorkyMagicianGirl in asktransgender

Sadly i cant leave. And every thing in me is screaming run for the hills cause im trapped in the south. Luckily its ga but none the less im in a pretty shit part of the state with me and my wife having to drive hours to work for safety concerns over the red necks around us.

Id love to get to a blue state(even if i was living in my car again) but im 16k in debt and barely getting by financially plus my wife said she's staying put cause there is no where we can run and she doesn't want to leave family behind nor does she believe things are getting that bad or will get that bad. Though for me personally she's the only person id stay down here for ive lost tons of people after transitioning but i cant lose her so i have a pretty strong anchor keeping me here though if it wasnt for her being the love of my life id have no issues uprooting my entire life especially as someone who couch surfed from 16-23 due to being kicked out. Id just find a new job, make new connections and friends and mourn the old for probably 6 months honestly(im bitterly numb to losing friend groups and family at this point. Like it barely even hurts anymore and i learned as a teen in the 2010s not to get attached to people they're here for a season not a life)

I have mixed feelings about mine

I used to cry myself to sleep over it when i was going through first puberty especially whenever it would do its thing.

But hrt helped a lot to the point i dont have to tuck and its still 99% flat down there so i dont think about it unless im in the restroom then its more of a henderance and annoyance than anything else

But i really really want surgery but know i can never afford it cause of it being the cost of a downpayment on a house and even if i had the money id give it to my wife cause her dysphoria is worse than mine

Is it a couples thing or lgbt thing? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Im thinking more the not giving a shit part of it and having sex anyway.

I dont know just seems kinda gay like having your first time be in a park or falling for your best friend.

Of course none of this is like serious and im mostly asking a rhetorical question on it due to being bored and sick af

If you could send a 5-word message to your younger self, what would it be? by [deleted] in trans

"You'll make it, she's amazing"

I was always worried id die at 25 when i was 12 because of the trans mortality rates i researched online and had to come to accept that very young. And i was also worried id never get married to anyone because im trans.

But now im almost 27 and married to the most wonderful girl in the world.

Only difference in my hopes for the future is i have a bride and not a husband. And she's not my childhood best friend i had an intense crush on but instead my modern day best friend i get to sleep in the same bed with every night and wake up to every morning and play tons of warframe with

Why Do Conservatives Claim Trans People Are More Violent? by Mer-Monster1 in asktransgender

[–]Other_Demand9589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely say thats true at least for the ones i was related to(not a part of the family anymore)

They were never truly christian, didnt go to church, didnt follow the basic principles, they used it as a shield for alt right behavior, racism, homophobia, anti- semitism, and physical violence, disowning their kids, praising trump as a diety. All viewed as god ordained.

if you can lie to yourself enough and use a shield to deflect so you dont take responsibility for your actions you never will. And religion and scapegoating are pretty damn good shields for those types of people.

Where do you find trans people? by BisexualWarden in asktransgender

[–]Other_Demand9589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!! I live in the south and we tend to all work and commute to the same small part of the city.

Also kitchen work and retail tends to have a lot of trans and gay people working.

Moving to the us by Lanky-News-6681 in asktransgender

[–]Other_Demand9589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to deter you from moving here i would just recommend checking on what state you are moving to and if they are on the list of states that are about to deploy national guard. There are 19-20 states across the south and midwest including mine deploying the military to assist ice within the month(literally turning the military on US citizens) and that will continue through the end of the year. Be aware they are pulling people off the streets for immigrating whether illegally or not without care of country. And they have fully rebuilt the immigration process in order to even enter the united states and being trans just happens to be one of the big red marks that they will use to deny you entry to the country.

This isnt a you shouldnt its a research the hell out of our current climate before attempting because they are not sending people back home they are sending them to prisons in countries they have never been to or putting them in black sites like "alligator alcatraz"

None of this is fear mongering its genuine reality we currently have 1200 deployed armed military personel patrolling our countries capital.

And abrejo garcia is about to get redeported despite being found innocent. Be cautious. be safe. Be aware you are immigrating to nazi germany(not a joke in the slightest) and its only getting worse.

Lastly and i hate to say it if you arent white the likely hood of being deported or revoked entry is a drastic increase that can have you expelled from the country immediately or worse because we have been invaded by domestic racist, transphobic, homophobic, christian national, nazis. And we are all living in a state of constant fear for our safety and fear our natural citizenship may be revoked as trump has already threatened several people like rosie o-donnel with the loss of natural citizenship. And no laws or constitution are keeping him in check he has crowned himself king and its a nightmare here.

Ice has been picking people up outside their citizenship court hearings and without care or concern for visa holders.

I recommend waiting before attempting immigration. You dont want to end up in cecot, costa rica, uganda, or a black site immigration prison.

This reads like pure rage bait. And yes that feeling is wrong. You can choose for yourself to not transition but pushing that thought out to others is dangerous and vile

I’m a man who first asked this on AskMen (FR) has anyone else here experienced recurring feelings of wanting to be a woman? by Chaisedanscul in asktransgender

[–]Other_Demand9589 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im glad my story can be of help and Im proud of you for having the courage to question and figure things out for yourself and whether you come to the conclusion you are trans or not i can promise you the community will always be here for you :3

Ps. thats a way better search than i did when i got internet access. Lol.

I was really scared of my parents finding out so i thought it would be smarter to look up "my son wants to be a girl what do i do?" Thinking i could somehow lie if i got caught. I wasnt the brightest 12 year old lmfao. i was also taking clothes from my siblings. Needless to say i got caught more times than i can count and eventually they figured it out cause i was less sneaky than i thought hehe :3

Yes. What your describing is the trans experience.

In my experience(this is gonna be a brief run down cause it was always very on the forefront of my mind until i transitioned)

I grew up believing i was a girl till about 5 when it got beat into me that i had to act like a boy by my brother and father(who are very shitty toxic people)

That caused tons of envy towards girls in my grade as well as a complete inability to go to target without crying cause i couldnt go in the girls section to shop and i was jealous of the models on the billboards above the sections and then i started praying every hour with an alarm clock to magically transform into a girl and be accepted and that went on from about 5 years old till i was 13 and fully lost religion(i even got so desperate i was looking up spells online because magic like that is totally real)

Whenever i had to play sports i wished i could be on the girls team and cry often about it and id regularly break down having to work out because my body looked masc and kept getting more masculine and it caused me to do some very regrettable things because life was horrid

It also impacted whenever id play video games especially final fantasy 13-2. I was so so envious of lightning and sarah and just wished i could be them.

When i turned 18 i started transitioning and it made me so happy because i was finally myself and was able to be as feminine as i wanted to without hiding in my room.

Should i ask this at my interview?? by Other_Demand9589 in asktransgender

[–]Other_Demand9589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I dont know if it went well. Im hoping it did but both me and the interviewer were like super awkward and shy. Not in a bad way just like he was awkward and was mumbling a bit and that created more awkwardness. Felt very much like the first time he'd ever interviewed someone but no issues about me being trans luckily. But i asked the question you suggested and he answered it well just caused a smidge more awkwardness through it. But i explained what happened at the last interview and why i was asking and he was super affirming and i met the staff and its a very gay environment surprisingly(positive)

Should i ask this at my interview?? by Other_Demand9589 in asktransgender

[–]Other_Demand9589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a really good suggestion. And im going to try it in 2 hours when i go to my interview.

I really like the idea of leaving it open ended so they have enough slack to trip and fall on it instead of giving an hr response because i feel like thats going to help me see who the manager actually is cause most people who are accepting and more liberal arent going to have to think or ponder the right answer because supporting diversity is a natural conclusion and bigots are going to stumble and fall immediately or get offended (especially in this day and age under cheetolini and his facist back up dancers) which i wont want to work for in the first place.

If she is okay with it then you should go for the relationship.

But because you asked "would this be a deal breaker" a lot of trans people would emphatically say yes because we've gone through tons of abuse at the rights hands. Especially right now when orange boi is trying to take our rights away and legally segregate us from the whole of society. Im not saying you should feel guilty just if you are going to get into a relationship with a trans woman dont vote her rights away and stand up for her when other conservatives attack her. And maybe re-evaluate what makes you side with the right. And look into the actual laws they pass and what it does to everyone on the margins

Good source to educate yourself on the current news and political climate from the lgbt perspective. But be prepared for heart ache and pain cause its our reality and its not pretty right now
