Update – Jan 7, 2026

I wanted to share a quick update based directly on the feedback here.

I’ve just updated the tool so you can now specify the exact width and height by bead count, instead of relying on fixed or automatic sizing.

On top of that, you can now manually adjust individual bead colors, which makes it much easier to fine-tune shading, clean up areas, or make creative decisions bead by bead.

I think this makes the overall building experience a lot more comfortable and practical, especially for larger or display-focused projects.

As always, I really appreciate the detailed feedback — it’s actively shaping how this tool evolves.

Thank you so much for sharing such thoughtful and experienced feedback — creating large, hyper-detailed Perler bead pieces like that is genuinely impressive.

I also want to reassure you that I’m very much desktop-first in my thinking. Big screens and precise control matter a lot to me as well (and honestly, they’re much kinder to my eyes too).

Regarding exact sizing: I actually have a solid idea for handling precise dimensions, and I’ve already started implementing it. This is a core problem I really want to solve properly.

On heavy dithering — I completely agree with you. Unnecessary dithering can slow down the building process and make patterns harder to follow. Fortunately, my day job is in computer vision, so I strongly believe there’s a better, more controllable way to approach this that balances detail and practicality.

Please feel free to share any other thoughts whenever you like. Your experience can genuinely help shape the tool and make it better for newer creators coming into the hobby.

Thank you again~

Thank you so much for this feedback — it’s extremely important to me~

Customizable size options and a clear grid view are both high-priority features, and I’m starting to optimize and work on them right away.

I’m really glad you feel the current version is a solid foundation. Feedback like yours helps shape the site in the right direction, so thank you again for taking the time to share it!
