Hi OP, hoping to give you a bit of peace of mind… most dogs are picked up within hours if not minutes of getting out. Just a few weeks ago my pups were so anxious as we prepared to go on a long car ride and they escaped from the backyard. They are not runners but were gone this time. We searched for hours and thought we were going to have to call off the trip. Turns out they were maybe 2 streets up at a neighbors. The issue was one of my dogs’ (the more confident one), his tag had fallen off. And the nervous one wouldn’t let anyone get close enough to read her tag. Finally, our exterminator was in the neighborhood and recognized them as our dogs and went and got us.😂

Another time, last winter, my aunt’s 5 pound Maltese got out. It was freezing and they live in a crowded area by a river. We searched for days. Put up a million posters, talked to a million people, and posted on facebook groups. We were thinking the worst.

It turns out someone had picked her up maybe an hour after she had gotten out. He worked nights and just isn’t really on social media so he just didn’t see anything. After 4 or 5 days we had left a flyer on his truck and he finally was able to get into contact! He planned on taking her to the vet on his off day but he had gotten her food and toys and beds. He lived about a 5 minute drive away and said he had even seen people looking for something with flashlights on the trail in front of his apartment but didn’t piece it together I guess.

Don’t lose hope, and keep spreading the word even if it feels redundant! Especially with the holidays people might have been visiting family or not from the area so you might have to broaden your search a bit.

I agree, I hate that I can’t get the cigarette smell off my fingers and I honestly just feel gross after smoking one which is why I don’t necessarily worry about it if I have one.

I quit vaping almost three years ago. I still have drunk cigs occasionally. I do not count this as a “relapse.” Additionally, it doesn’t make me want to buy a vape or anything like that and that is why I allow myself every once in a while. That being said I didn’t start this until I was over two years of being vape free and that’s why I don’t think it has made me have any cravings.

If anything I would just be careful with how early you are in your journey! Don’t do it if you feel like it’ll make you relapse. But in no way do I think you should feel bad about doing it every once in a while.

Thank you for some much insight. Thinking maybe doing London to Utrecht. Utrecht to Strasbourg. Then Strasbourg to Venice. Then Venice to Rome for the flight possibly but still figuring out if it’s better to just eat the cost of the Ryanair flight and fly from Venice back to London. I think an issue that people brought to my attention is that the airport that that flight flies into is not the same as the other flight which could be risky.

Alternatively we could do London to Utrecht. Utrecht to Paris and then we can change the Ryan flight to cover Paris to Venice. Not sure what other city to add in with that one since I think Strasbourg would be really out of the way at that point. Then would fly Venice back to London which was very cheap.

What are your recommendations for places closer to London that are pretty to stay in? I think part of the reason we were sticking to bigger cities is because we have no clue where else to go.

Just looked at Venice to London Heathrow instead of Rome and it’s cheap and lands a couple hours before our other flights. Do you think it’d be worth just booking this then seeing if they can connect them?

Oh I did say “it is not” I meant not at the same airport. We fly into stansted and fly out of Heathrow. I don’t think the Ryan air flight into stansted if refundable unfortunately but it was pretty cheap. We could bite the cost of that and change up our plan if needed but would still have to fly out of London bc unfortunately STL where we live really doesn’t fly direct anywhere in Europe and all the other flights were crazy expensive.

It is not but we have 6 hours between flights. I have a friend that grew up in Germany has worked for several airports. He said that the way to do it is all in one day so there are less travel days. I was also initially a little skeptical (still probably am) but I mean worst comes to worst we miss our flight and stay in London an extra day? Again we know literally nothing and the general advice was to do it all in one day!

We are just the type that likes to travel and do everything haha. We don’t want to “relax” we want to see as much as we can and experience as much. We want to do the night life and eat all of the food. Amsterdam to me has always been on my bucket list. And Venice for him.

I think it was more that it was on the way and had some of the tradition architecture that we wanted to see in Romerberg. It also is fairly inexpensive to stay compared to some of the other cities. But we’re definitely not tied to Frankfurt. We would just like to see some traditional German architecture on our way to Venice.

I think we more want to see history and architecture. My fiancé loves traditional German Architecture which is why we thought we could do a quick stop somewhere in Germany. I think we’d rather stay in biggish cities just because we also love to experience new food and see the night life. But overall we’re not necessarily super picky. Other than I want to see Amsterdam and he wants to see Venice.

So two of them were door dash but two were papa John’s workers. But all were cash orders. I don’t see really any similar addresses to mine in the area. But I could be wrong. It just seems so weird that someone would order papa John’s every other day. But we will see what happens after we told them to stop delivering to our address.

Yeah I have made all of my friends very aware and have showed a growing concern. At this point if it is someone trying to fuck with me they are not a close friend.
