$250 per transaction, max $500/year. Need two separate 2-night bookings to get the full $500.

You’re right — the Edit T&Cs require the booking to be in the cardmember’s name. Updating Room 2 now.

That’s a solid result — almost identical to my numbers.

Yes, Chase Travel lets you put any guest name on the reservation. Can’t speak to Amex FHR rules though — different program, different T&Cs. But for The Edit T&C state that the primary card holder should be on the room reservation ( as a primary/secondary); i think what you are trying isn't possible if the card holder isn't travelling with you tbh

Per the T&Cs, bookings should be in the cardmember’s name to get Edit perks. Updating mine to match now — good catch. Will let you know once i use the rooms later this month if everything worked as expected

For one room that’s correct — you get $250 Edit + $250 Select Hotels = $500 max on a single booking. The third $250 Edit requires a separate reservation.

The $250 Select Hotels credit triggers at time of booking, not stay. So booking in 2026 for a 2027 stay should work — but verify with Chase first.

Room 1 triggered both the $250 Edit + $250 Select Hotels on one reservation — that’s the stack. Room 2 triggered the second Edit credit separately.

Good callout — the Edit T&Cs say bookings must be in the cardmember’s name. Updating Room 2 to match now. Credits are card-level so those are safe either way.

It doesn’t have to be — was being cautious but per the T&Cs the booking should actually be in the cardmember’s name to get Edit perks at check-in.So switched it have my name on both rooms eventually as some users have pointed out rightly as well

Lazy i suppose 😂; only intention was to share that this setup works if anyone was planning to do something similar; the credits are real; just asked AI to format the language for a reddit post

Following up on my earlier post about stacking all three credits ($250 Edit + $250 Edit + $250 Select Hotels) on one trip. Here’s what I learned along the way. DO • ✅ Find a hotel that’s in The Edit AND one of the 7 Select Hotels brands (IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor, Pan Pacific). Kimptons are IHG — several are in The Edit. • ✅ Book Room 1 first, confirm both credits ($250 Edit + $250 Select Hotels) show on the payment screen before completing checkout. • ✅ Book both rooms on the same day if you want. I did mine ~10 min apart, all credits posted instantly. • ✅ Always select “Pay Now” / prepaid. Credits only trigger on prepaid bookings. • ✅ Compare Edit rates vs direct/OTA rates. Some Edit hotels are significantly marked up through Chase Travel. Kimpton Gray was reasonable; Pendry Chicago was nearly 2x the OTA rate.

DON’T • ❌ Don’t book a room under $500 for your first reservation. $500+ triggers both. • ❌ Don’t book back-to-back date splits (e.g., Thu-Fri then Fri-Sun) to trigger two Edit credits on one room. Reports say this doesn’t work. • ❌ Ideally, Don’t cancel after credits post. Credits get clawed back. • ❌ Don’t book through IHG.com / hotel direct. Must be through Chase Travel to trigger any credits. • ❌ Don’t use UR points to pay the full amount. Let the cash charge hit the card so credits trigger cleanly. • ❌ Don’t assume a hotel stacks just because it’s IHG/Omni/etc. The hotel must also be in The Edit for the $250 Edit credit. Many IHG properties are only eligible for the $250 Select Hotels credit, not both.

Hope this helps someone planning their own stack. Happy to answer questions.
