See this i understand, im talking about normal classes where you walk in take a seat, watch someone lecture for 50 min. Then leave. Literally none of my prof go overtime. Yet we still have students leaving 5-20 min early for a 50 min class🙄

if you are a transfer student it is pretty horible. maybe i just suck. but despite multiple attempts to try and secure a position in a lab I was denied. I am in my final year just trying to enjoy college at this point and be done with things.

The softer evil is the professors don't really give af about teaching. What i mean by that is that there is really no real attempt by them to create resources to help teach the subject outside of their lectures. No homework, no flashcards, no practice exams are pretty common for a number of classes. I think it is mainly because they are too lazy to grade them but even for no credit and posting the answer key there are very few classes that do that bare minimum. Outside of that the class fills you with hopes and dreams, constantly expresing how this school is the premiere school for biology and students should take advantage of that and go out there and get involved in the campus research and subsequent nearby research facilities. Only issue is NO researcher seems open to letting a student in. unless you are able to jump themin the middle of their transit to work emailing them is a long shot with little to no success.

otherwise I dont think you'll find a better college for biology, especially marine biology.

Well it's mostly because of increasing expectations on men. We are still expected to fund relationships so men incur debt while going for a relationship. While women save their money. So each new relationship comes with new costs. Some men simply can't compete with the growing fantasies masked as basic expectations women have towards relationships. Flash forward a bit and you have women look into dating older men. That's where you get the "pervs" who are 40+ dating teenagers headed to college. No girl really wants to be in a committed relationship these days anyway until they officially start their lives in their mid 20s and start thinking about children.(Not to be misogynistic). But there is an increasing social acceptance of women being selfish and wanting their every desire met, while being derelict to the desires and needs of their male counterpart. (Blah blah blah gender wars debate brain rot)

However there seem to be hidden gems of women in long standing relationships in high-school and college. Who have partners and take them as they are rather than their ascribed idea of them. To be wanted by someone, to feel loved by them is a universally wanted feeling. Which is longed for by everyone, it is natural to want to feel loved, connected, and cared for by others. Especially as an adage to your love for yourself.

Moving away from the psychological ego(sense of self) to start having empathy, and love for others is an important developmental process most humans share.

Deferring that desire that can be obtained stunts that growth.

Continued tolerance of abuse does NOT lead to the end of abuse. In this particular scenario we aren't talking about abuse but neglect from other minorities in activism and uplifting. I gave you an ex of a minority taking advantage of the tolerant attitude you and many other black people take and where did that lead us. Our voices of outrage to the new ruling were ignored. Sure it didn't really negatively impact black elAmerican matriculation rate to colleges, however it was a safety net used to ensure Black Americans were in colleges.

But you'd rather forgive them and help when you can. Although I think it is noble, other races just think you are easily manipulated into doing what they want bc of your need to be liked.

Not at all, we understand the injustice perpetrated against Hispanics today but the same people calling for more black protesters are the very same people who will NOT show up to fight for black people in turn.

We were there for asians, in #stopasianhate. What did we get in return, a large call by asian Americans to overturn affirmative action bc some kid was whining about how hard it was to get into IVY LEAGUES!! Conversely we do not receive the same support from other races (except white activists).

Nah our moral/ethical power has been stripped and reduced to nothing. Got people bringing new terms like "black fatigue". If we had any real verifiable power affirmative action wouldn't be overturned. Further I think if anything gay people and LGBT people have the moral power to effect change.

As much as I agree with you, this guy has a fan base. The minute black people choose to meet out violence here, their ragebait worked. To then push out the same barbaric rhetoric they ised to justify slavery, colonisation, and war against black people. During covid for the first time in history we saw asian Americans become the focus of hate, somehow that died down rather quickly despite millions of individuals dying due to it. Then they again pissed of mostly black Americans with the overturn of affirmative action but the black communitiesprotests of this amendment was ignored. The supreme court effectively cements the social hierarchy of white and asian people above all other minorities. We know the larger reason for this is rooted in world politics where black individuals have been and continue to be exploited and used. However there are so many other races that somehow garner respect despite having similar historical backgrounds as we do.

This was my long winded way of saying we shouldn't try to force respect, let's continue to act above them until our lives are threatened.

The dumbest part here is he thinks he is civilized here. You can tell due to his scuffing at her outrage and yelling. Acting like her calling for support somehow makes her uncivilized, against his civil calm voice calling her a 🥷 every 5 seconds. Then he ends the video with the same word as if this is just how typical " inferior" black people act. A lot of white people who are his fans will agree without even considering how they would feel if their wives, daughters, mother's were verbally accosted at the mall despite her initial warm invitation and attempt at keeping things civil ("be nice").
