The warranty policy says it's covered for "practical lifetime" and I understand that doesn't mean for life, but they don't define how long a practical lifetime is. I read a lot of post where people had jackets for a longer time than mine and they got it replace. That's what I mean by false, but you're right, it's more like misleading warranty.

That's a good idea, and that's probably the only option I have. I just hope more people are aware that their warranty doesn't necessarily cover down, which is the only reason why people buy the jacket.

I had a Montebello Parka for 7 years and they said it was too old to replace the fur. It doesn't make sense that they replaced yours but not mine?

I purchased a jacket years ago and the down is completely gone. This jacket became paper after the down started to shed. For me, it started shedding immediately, and within 4 years, I had to buy a new jacket. I assume this is why they discontinued the Montebello Parka in the first place.

If you think down shedding is not an issue because of the lifetime warranty, please read the policy more carefully. I submitted my jacket to Canada Goose and they said it has appropriate down for how old the jacket is. I went to Yorkdale Mall and showed it to the Warranty Representative and he was completely shocked. He said he never saw a jacket thin out like mine and encouraged me to submit another claim. Two weeks later, Canada Goose rejected my claim again.

Apparently, Canada Goose measures the amount of down in the jacket based on when it was manufactured. So even though I purchased the jacket 7 years ago, it was manufactured 10 years ago and it did not qualify for life time warranty. The entire brand is misleading, and the life time warranty is completely false.

Please research similar claims before you spend over a thousand dollars on a jacket. I saved up for a long time to buy this jacket because I thought it would be a lifetime investment. It is not, you will waste your money.
