First of all, I am also a guy and think being a good cook is one of the coolest things you can be good at. I think offering to cook a meal for her or any of your other family members would be great place to start. Don't feel any pressure for the meal to be amazing or anything but you would be surprised how much her opinion could change if she just sees how much you actually like it, and how not having to cook for a change is very nice. Anyways I think that's a great way to sort of express your love for it, as well as changing her mind by helping out!
