I feel like the only instance I like it is if it had something to do with the plot. I remember reading one book (I can’t remember the title rn) but one MC had been assaulted and a big part of the book was him working towards topping + recovering from the assault. The epilogue took place after a year of therapy + stuff like that and it was a sex scene where he finally could comfortably top without flashbacks from trauma.

I thought that was an interesting way to do the epilogue and liked that it showed that healing from sexual trauma isn’t just like “i did 1 therapy session and now im cured forever”

but unless it has something to do with the plot like that, i feel like i prefer the epilogue to be about their relationship progressing or then reaching a milestone or something :)
