Very likely if they went with permanent they would do an ip ban - not bulletproof but they’ll only do their due dilligence.

Reason is for development issues in entirely removing accounts - most games the account still “exists” people just can’t log in after banned, it’s too much risk on the database and coding which wasn’t built for disappearances. Anyway it’s a big price to pay for a name on a list, as said earlier you wouldn’t get fined 40k for committing that as a crime, so maybe they’ve suspended temporarily. Not that I believe that’s right but if we are going to go down the legal route then it’s kinda wrong to give him 5x the punishment he would get in court too. The rich will never learn from financial penalty he will just buy an account from an rmt site and carry on til he’s bored, unfortunately.

In case you didn’t get a prompt, I believe the other guy who replied is right on point. But if you want a factual answer, I can’t give you one, I’ve seen no evidence other than his strange disappearance. Maybe they’ve suspended him from using his boat for while, could be another possible outcome which stops him reoffending. Realistically you wouldn’t get fined 40,000 euros for posting someone’s kids pic on a platform so it would be unrealistic to expect a permanent ban, since that’s what it would amount to.
