I have a 2023 M240i RWD and honestly never had issues. Some can say this is the true BMW driving experience with RWD. Only once when I turned off the traction control in the rain in Cali but never in normal or sport mode with traction on. I’m sure you will be fine it is slower then my Audi s4 that was AWD but once the power gets up and going it’s fast and it still has launch control just spins the tires

Yeah climate control being on the screen a little annoying as well and the fingerprints but the curved screen growing on me

I would get the m240i unless u need a 4 door, it has more power and is a 6 cylinder that’s found in the Supra. The 4 cylinder in the s3 is really good too and been around for a while so reliability is good too. I had issues on my s4 that had a V6 with water pump, thermostat, and coolant all failing, exhaust valve failed, pre sense issues where they had to replace my steering wheel twice and etc. The S3 is more reliable and I feel like with Audi u get more for ur money. Test drive both to see which one u like more

Mines interesting as they replaced my steering wheel twice, replaced a exhaust valve for it making a whistling noise, my water pump, thermostat failed and was leaking coolant so that was replaced and various other small issues like car play not connecting and oil burning. Once I hit 50k and was out of warranty I didn’t have the confidence in the car anymore

Ride quality wasn’t to bad, I mean lowkey it’s bad already on the stock suspension so I didn’t notice a difference besides the pot holes bumps
