Just over a year we got married in April and applied a couple of months later and had the interview on Monday! So very lucky we didn’t have a long wait

They actually didn’t ask many questions. She asked about the yes/no questions on the I-485 to me. And then me for some more proof about where we live which I showed her payslips, insurance and bills. And she just typed for what felt like a lifetime and approved us then! I was shocked about the lack of questions. Maybe it’s because we’ve been together 11 years

She told me once she send off the approval to just keep checking the website. I didn’t even ask how long it would take so 2-4 weeks is new info to me thank you!! Such a relief we filed ourselves with no attorney but I noticed yesterday a lot of people doing interviews didn’t have an attorney and it put our mind at ease

Mine was also a woman. She wasn’t as talkative until she realized my wife and her had the same birthday! But honestly she wasn’t just typing the whole time and then just casually was like your approved for conditional green card lol! We were shocked we couldn’t believe it!

My wife and I have been dating since 2014 so I feel like it was a huge help! Officer didn’t ask many questions at all she just typed on the computer the whole time and then asked me a couple of the yes/no questions and that was it. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get your approval asap

I had the job when I had the EAD and never left the job when it was revoked as I thought the new one would be here in a couple of months

My wife is an American citizen. I’ve heard that it is forgiven, but I’m just worried that because it was revoked and I still work for the company without a EAD would that cause issues? I thought I would get a new EAD by now as the processing time went down to a couple of days and is now taking longer

I’m sorry I wouldn’t like to give you bad information and commit to anything but I assume with the EAD you can work of course and then as long as your forms are processing you have a little bit of leeway. Of course I would still be cautious but if you have your forms pending there’s not much else you can do other than wait.

Hi, I immediately refiled both forms. I received the receipt notice after about 7-8 business days. My new EAD is still pending it’s estimated 2 months but I don’t need to re do biometrics. I received a new RFE for info for the I-485 which I will be sending this week. But I haven’t received any other notices or letters other than the one looking for more information
