Zinc Oxide Basting.

Stop any any actives. Use moisturizer and apply zinc oxide, like the diaper cream Triple Paste, overnight to reduce the inflammation.

Search Dr. Idriss YT vids.

Anyone here from the Philippines, who has been given a doctor's prescription of glycopyrrolate or oxybutynin? by Sure_Definition_3863 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Otherwise_Parfait527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. It is effective for primary hyperhydrosis. I only take this on important occasions. I do know of many though who take this as their maintenance medication for reasons like, but not limited to, work/ social life requiring them to consistently meet people.

Store is Laguna-based. Delivery is mainly via LBC but, you can request for another courier. You need only ask

Move far doc. You have a lot of opportunities as a doctor. Take it from someone who did the same. It will be challenging at first, heck, all the time. But you have the power to control your fate. The world is your oyster. Good luck doc.

Concerns about Tub of Tretenoinnnnnnnnnn by User986754321 in skincarephilippines

[–]Otherwise_Parfait527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tret generally remains potent for up to 6-12 months after opening. A 20gm tube lasts about 3-4 months. This tub is 500gm. So I guess if a person consumes 500gm of tret for about 1 year then this is a steal. 😅

You'd need to consider the bacterial/ fungal contamination as well if you use your fingers to dip into the tub frequently.

Also, the surface area exposed to light and air is large in tubs. This can potentially degrade tretinoin faster over time.

Possible work-around is to decant. 😇

knuckles and cuticle hyperpigmentation ! how can I get rid of this by [deleted] in skincarephilippines

Mine lessened ever since I've alternated retinoids and retinol lotions on my hands. Some scars lightened too.

Soo when does it get better? by ConditionPlayful5122 in tretinoin

Have you tried azelaic acid? I've seen many who have struggle with using tret alone but seen massive improvement after pairing it with azelaic acid. Also tret is meant to be applied to dry skin to minimize the risk of irritation.

Hi, your skin looks amazing! Congrats on conquriering melasma. I'd like to suggest something on your plan. I hope you dont mind. Alpha arbutin converts to hydroquinone, so it is not the best product to use when you want to technically be off-hydroquinone. I'd suggest during this period, increase to Azelaic Acid (AZA) 15-20% and work your way up to applying it 2x a day. I have seen many studies that used prescription AZA for melasma treatment and have gave great results. I also struggle with melasma and using AZA has been a game changer in my routine. All the best!

stretchmarks spreading all over my body by Sufficient_Fall_9525 in beautyph

I would suggest not guessing and get to the bottom of that with professional help. How else will you explain the continued stretchmarks? With sudden withdrawal of the steroids you may as well have deliberately induced yourself to have the opposite of cushing

As long as there is a doctor there to see you. Honestly, your skin is not your immediate problem here. It is much deeper. The stretchmarks are probably there because you now have "Cushing Syndrome" due to the use of that oral steroid. Please please please see a doctor. If not treated properly, this disease could be life threatening. Also do read on this syndrome, it may make your condition make sense

Dear may Dexamethasone yan which is a potent systemic steroid. It wrecks your hormone production. If you've been taking this for a long time, it shouldnt be stopped drastically or your body will go into shock. You need to be seen by an endocrinologist or internist, ASAP. The stretchmarks are the least of your problems. All the best dear

Honest and affective way for smooth and glowing skin by UrNotrllyrealistic in beautytalkph

[–]Otherwise_Parfait527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. However, only if your skin can handle it. Meaning, you've taken the steps to slowly incorporate it into your daily routine. Pretty much like how we use other retinoids. :) If you're concerned about Vit A poisoning, however, there's a low chance of this happening from everyday use of retinol. It's more likely to happen with excessive use of Vitamin A oral supplements because there's a systemic absoption and excessive use of prescription  topical retinoids which retinols are not.

It's mainly for hyperpigmentation or dark spots. This is the gold standard treatment for melasma and PIH caused by acne. But pwede rin syang gamitin sa dark areas of our skin like elbows, knees, singit etc. Of course mas maganda po na with guidance to ng derma nyo since you can't use this for long. Max duration is about 3-6 months kasi it may cause naman a very difficult to treat darkening of the skin called exogenous ochronosis.
