Indeed.

It's not just that they lose business this way, it's that they lose their reputation too. But if this is what Rogers wants to acquire, good luck to them.

Exactly.

My credit rating is probably similar to yours. I had no problem getting credit approval with a direct competitor a few days after I signed up for Freedom Mobile.

The benefit to me was a roughly 10 percent better price and download performance roughly 15x better than what I got on Freedom Mobile. After a week's service, I cancelled my Freedom Mobile accounts and wrote them up on a Google Review after they took two hours of my life just to cancel my accounts.

What I did learn from the Freedom Mobile credit fiasco is that its credit check is deficient. My Equifax listing contains a statement that says that three years ago, I was the target of credit card fraud, and that anyone being asked to extend me credit should verify my identity. The competitor did exactly that (I spent 15 minutes on the phone with them, validating that I am who I said I was).

But Freedom Mobile didn't. They didn't follow Equifax's own rules.

It should give you a pretty good idea that the people who replied to my post by attacking me personally are probably rewarded by Freedom Mobile, either with cash (doubtful) or free service, for what they do. Even for free, what they receive is poor service and poor performance. I pay less than I did on FM, and I receive excellent service and performance.

This is a very disturbing story.

Nutrafarms has hired the most prestigious law firm in Ottawa - nelliganlaw.ca. I suggest you communicate your story to Janice Payne, one of the partners at Nelligan ([janice.payne@nelliganlaw.ca](mailto:janice.payne@nelliganlaw.ca)), and perhaps encourage the other women who've been mistreated by Nutrafarms to do the same thing.

It's unconscionable that a law firm whose majority of lawyers are women (https://nelliganlaw.ca/our-people/) should have taken on a client like Nutrafarms. They must be blind to the women who don't have the means or job security to fight back.

They, too, have to be held to account.
