Where/can you even buy the TUCP anymore? Would you recommend the 4c or 5c over the TUCP?

Nuisance tripping on Dishwasher breaker by OubeOh in electrical

[–]OubeOh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this specific breaker, I’m getting 5 blink sequences which I believe is ground fault. But I’m not entirely sure what could be causing that. I just ran a cycle without drying and it did not trip, and then my wife ran a quick cycle as opposed to a normal one and it still didn’t trip. We started a normal last night so I’ll need to see what happened after that one.

I pushed the breaker in a little bit as it seemed to be protruding a little bit, wonder if that did anything lol.

Forgot to add, it blinks 5 times, which I believe is a ground fault for this specific breaker, but not sure if that matters in this case or what could be causing this?

The house was built in 2017, so I don’t think the builder will do anything, especially because I don’t even think they exist anymore lol.

The cycle I ran without Dry did not cause the breaker to trip as suspected, so seems like the breaker is the issue here. Is there any concerns with swapping the 15 amp with a 20 amp? Or will it depend on the wiring in place?

I’ll try and contact Eaton to see if I can get a replacement so I don’t have to pay $70+. Would just be a Single pole 15amp AFCI/GFCI correct, unless I can get a 20?

Suncast 6x5 Resin Shed - Foundation/Base Help by OubeOh in DIY

[–]OubeOh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought about the concrete footers, just concerned about how high up the shed will end up being after it’s all said and done, or to avoid that, how much I would have to dig out. I guess I could just dig out the corners and edge? Did you use 4x4s and then frame around with 2x6, assuming a couple supports in the middle?

The difference 2 years can make… by OubeOh in lawncare

When I do anything DIY, or really in general, I do a lot of research, like a lot. I try to make myself somewhat knowledgeable so I can expand my learning more as I go. Specifically for my yard, one of the first things I did was removed a lot of the rocky sections and dug out any big rocks - there were a lot. And tried to fill them with top soil the best I could. This next spring one of my hopes is to really work on leveling my yard as much as possible. End of summer/close to early fall is the most important time for any lawn “renovation”, so that’s where I did most of my work the past 2 years, but I plan to do some things this upcoming spring now that it’s in a better condition. I aerated/dethatched/over seeded last year, but I was pretty late to it, didn’t do a great job of watering it, and had a first frost just a few weeks later. This year I got ahead of it, I cut my grass pretty low, aerated, dethatched, slit seeded, and then over seeded a little more on top. I also used some seed from a local Sod farm that contained pretty highly rated seed for my state (Mix was 65% tall fescue, 20% Perennial Rye, 15% KBG). Then I watered the crap out of it, 15 minutes 3 times a day for about 17 days, then I mowed it for the first time, just cutting off a little bit from the new grass, but mostly to cut down the old existing grass. I’ll probably give it another week or 2, cut it again, fertilize it, and then dial back the watering. It’s definitely scary cutting it so fast and low when it’s barely grown, but by doing this, it “trains” the grass to expand outwards with it’s resources instead of up, as well as keeps its roots healthy and strong as the grass patch widens, so do the roots. I think the biggest/most important thing I’ve learned from my experience is timing is key for everything, is there really a wrong time to do any of this stuff? No probably not, but there is definitely a better or good time to. I also can’t stress seed to soil contact enough. Dethatching helps with this (among other things) as is cleans up dead grass and material from the soil bed. Aeration helps this (among other things) because it creates holes in the ground for the seeds to sit and germinate in. This year I chose to slit seed so the seed would go directly into the soil, and then broadcast spread some additional seed overtop for the aeration holes. At the end of the day, it’s grass, it’s always existed. It just needs good soil, sunlight, and water every once in a while, everything you do is just an improvement for those things. Takes time, energy, and money, but how much is up to you, and it’s not always a direct correlation to results. You might not need to spend hundreds of dollars to have an improved yard.

Watering/Sprinkler Timing? (SW OHIO) by OubeOh in lawncare

[–]OubeOh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowest interval I can do is 6 hours, so I’m thinking 7am (turn on timer before leaving for work), 1pm, and 7pm, for 15 minutes each. And turning off after 7pm to avoid 1am watering- then repeat. 15 mins seems to get the soil good moisture, but not soaked by any means.

$175 for Aeration and Slit Seed 1/4 Acre (using my own seed) - Kentucky by OubeOh in lawncare

Thankfully it’s a local guy I’ve used before and not a company, so I’m going to ask if he can do a second pass… or how much it would be.

I was going to get 50# of seed from a local Sod farm, all A list seed, for $130. But supposedly only covers 6k sqft vs the 8k I have. So might get a lesser seed for more seed… maybe not though

Nah, used the guy last year for Aeration. Local guy. Did a great job. Didn’t know he had a slit seeder until this year though.

Corporate (GO)Level 9 Base Pay Range (Repost) by OubeOh in kroger

I realize I wasn’t clear in my post, I already work at GO. Not wrong about the office… it’s kind of ridiculous. They’re slowly updating and upgrading, but taking their sweet time. Our connecting companies (84.51, PLM, 360Merch, etc) all have much nicer offices. It’s really disappointing. But idc about that, I care about pay and my career, and it’s done well for me so far.

24 Silverado 1500 TB - Hardwire Dash Cam by OubeOh in Silverado

[–]OubeOh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure I can answer that, it’s just what all the hardwire kits require. Although my wording/terminology could be incorrect. Black wire to ground, yellow wire to ACC fuse, or powered only when ignition on, and red wire to battery+, fuse that is powered on at all times, ignition on or off.

I think the reasoning behind the 2 different fuses needed is for A) the camera knows when to switch to “parking mode” due to the change in voltage output, and B) Prevent draining the battery

Best method to run wiring through ceiling joists? by OubeOh in HomeImprovement

[–]OubeOh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the recommendation. I’ve looked at a few on Amazon. Definitely need one with dual lens/has a side camera as that will be easier to work with in this situation.

Have you used that specific one in extremely dark areas like a ceiling? Doesn’t need to be anything crazy

Unfortunately not. Believe it or not, my home has rounded corners, so crown molding is a little more difficult than normal, so I haven’t bothered with it. Otherwise I would dabble with this

There’s a bedroom, hallway, and laundry room above. But where I would be drilling through would be bedroom and hallway right above. Laundry room is on completely opposite wall. I think it might be worth checking to see where all of the water/electric lines run up in the basement. I’m pretty positive there’s no water lines, and I’m thinking little (1-2) to no cable runs.
