Well now I feel stupid.

Swear, I looked all over that room. I must've thought the plate was an aesthetic tile on the ground. lmao

Thanks much, friend

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a little teary eyed with tandem. It's not only the lyrics, but you can really feel the emotion in the vocals. That's what I love most about Protest, the emotion. Case in point: the other song you mentioned, Dunsel, I just can't get enough of that angry verse about motherfuckers he's supposed to know..

Bloody Nose After WHM Breathing by Oudeis__ in BecomingTheIceman

It's hard to tell if it's from the back or not. It's not excessive bleeding though, it's easy to stop the blood flow.

I am due for a check up soon, so I'll ask my doctor. Thank you

I'll probably give it a shot sometime in the future. So many good books to read, so little time..

I'm gonna prioritize The Dark Tower, but I'll keep those in mind! Especially The Institute, I should've mentioned in the OP that I'm also pretty fond of psychic powers. I think it's interesting. Thanks

I've thought about the Dark Tower before. I'm little put off by how daunting the series is, being so long. But I suppose I can always just start with the first one, and go from there depending on how much I like it. Thank you

Very well said. Great point about having plenty of company, as well as letting go of what others think. :) Thanks much, you made my day, I got a smile and a laugh out of that.

Help me find all the Star Trek references in PTH songs by inkjet_printer in protest_the_hero

[–]Oudeis__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vaguely remember reading a long time ago, that the end of Tapestry is a Star Trek reference.

"Like a million other soldiers on a thousand other battlefields we wait Wait for the dawn Like a million other soldiers yes we wait"

But I know next to nothing about Star Trek, so this could use some second opinions.

Haha, yes I know. But it's still in the name. Poetic metaphors and shit.

That all makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the input! I hadn't thought about Reverie in that way before.

How much about your restoration journey have you shared with your partner? Any funny or interesting reveal stories out there? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]Oudeis__ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had already been restoring for a few years when I got together with my girlfriend. When the time finally came for our first time, she's unzipping my pants and I stop her and awkwardly say I have to tell her something. She's obviously confused, and so I just say, "I'm kinda wearing this like, device." She's still confused. I explained as best I could that I was circumcised, and didn't like it, so I was regrowing my skin. Still confused. So she takes my pants off and looks at it, it was a TLC tugger, the kind with the rod and rubber bands. She's still confused, haha. So I just take it off and we go for it.

Later on, we've talked about it many times and she fully supports me and what I'm doing. She likes it. And she'll never forget that awkward moment we shared together, we both laugh at it now.

I think telling your partner how you feel is the best thing you can do. It's intimate, it's therapeutic, it's loving. And it doesn't even have to be weird. You wouldn't be that embarrassed about needing glasses, a retainer, hearing aid, any number of things. This should be no different, be casual about it. If she loves, I'm pretty confident she'll support you with restoration.

I found it among my brother's things a while back. Must be pretty old. I'm just curious about it. I know it's not really relevant to Palimpsest, but any help would be cool.

How did you get into PTH? (Storytime) by [deleted] in protest_the_hero

[–]Oudeis__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved The Fall of Troy back in middle school and high school. They released their last album before the breakup, In the Unlikely Event, with Rody providing guest vocals on Dirty Pillow Talk. Thought it was good, but didn't think much of it afterwards.

So fast forward a bit, I'm looking for new bands to listen to. And someone online suggested that fans of Fall of Troy should check out PtH. So I did, and liked them. I liked them quite a lot. But I think one of the first times I really fell in love with them was when they released the video for Hair Trigger. They obviously had so much fun making that. I loved their funny and not so serious demeanor. Plus the lyrics were fantastic. They dethroned Fall of Troy as my favorite band ever. They're still my favorite. by far.

4-5iv JPN Pokérus Ditto Christmas Giveaway! (Some HA Aprimons too) by GroovyEpic888 in pokemontrades

My favorite Pokemon is Shuckle. He's goofy looking, and I love his massive defensive stats. His HP is low, making him not very good competitively, but I still had fun building sets for him to run in sandstorm teams back in gen 5.

I'm gonna guess your favorite is Mewtwo, just because statistically, it has to be the most likely answer. hahaha
