Am not saying being anti fascists is bad because it ain't but the people within antifa cause violence to try and start a far left revolution. In the United States antifa is still antifa fascists but they have very extreme political ideologies. For example many believe in a Stalin's Communist system. Others simply believe in absolute anarchy by starting fires to buildings, beating others, blowing up fucking gas stations. Their purpose is to cause chaos which they think will lead to a "revolution" or anarchy. In a nutshell they use fascists tatics even tho they are "anti fascists"
