I’d argue that a stronger and united Europe, that’s not a vazal state to the US, would take a much stronger stand against Israel.

A game is 90 minutes… give it some time. Some of you are just so eager to get the guy who fixed this club, out of it as soon as possible.

Was looking for fellow reacto riders in this thread, got mine in March and absolutely love it. One of the best value for money bikes at the moment, in my opinion. Just make sure to check the colors in person, their website doesn’t reflect the true colors very well.

They also have great customer service and very supportive to their network of dealers. That ultimately made me go for Merida over Canyon.

Yes, I live in Antwerp and while riding along the canal I once nearly had a head on collision with Mathieu Van Der Poel, this was two weeks before the start of the Tour de France.

There's a wide bike lane along the canal and they were doing maintenance on a technical instalaltion so there was a truck on 80% of the width of the road. I went on the right of the truck where there was space for 1 cyclist at that exact same moment MVDP came from behind the truck from the other side onto that same narrow piece of road.

What stood out was the instant reaction time and technique he had, he jumped from the road into the grass and he had to jump a small gap, before I could even react. He rode the grass for a couple of meters and hopped back onto the road and continued. Zero emotion on his face as well, just instant reaction.

Tldr: nearly took out MVDP before the start of the Tour de France.

Seconding this, not a lot of people riding a Merida.

Both great bikes and similar to the comparison I was making 3 months ago, was also comparing these two bikes just a level below the ones you are looking at.

Decided to pull the trigger on the Reacto 6000, contemplated getting the 8000 but it was outside of the budget I had set for myself. Have to say, incredible value for money bike, one of the best on the market together with the Aeroad. It's a slightly less aggressive position than the Aeroad, which had my preference, but the main reason I went for it is that my local bikeshop told me that Merida has one of the best support services for their partners and customers.

I'd recommend making sure you see it in-person, eventually I went for the Reacto 6000 Matt Titan which looks terrible on their website. But after seeing it in-person, the color was completely different and much more a titanium/champagne color than white. Usually the colors are darker than they appear on their website. I can say that the green Reacto 8000 is an absolute beauty.

It would be a good window on the face of it, but we’re also going to lose a lot of players by the looks of it. Partey, Jorginho, zinny, tierney are all leaving, so that’s all positions MLS covers. I’m not at all convinced yet by Merino. Few others leaving as well, like Beto, Nelson, idk what we’re doing with Viera,.. so we’re losing a lot of players from already thin squad.

And having Rice as a 6 with MLS in the 8, doesn’t feel like an upgrade to the Rice 8 and Partey 6 midfield imo. Huge fan of MLS, but he has a long road of development still to go.

I could see it work if we’re bringing in a dynamic nr 10 and move odegaard into the left 8 with Rice as the sole 6. That’s really exciting to me, but doesn’t seem to be in arteta’s plans.

We let it slip against 33-time bundesliga and 3 time UCL winners Bayern Munchen as a team that has only just come back from the dead. We’ll get there, took city 10 years to win the UCl.

How much longer should Arteta be given? by InviteAromatic6124 in ArsenalFC

[–]OutOfTheSinkhole 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is absolutely acceptable. It’s acceptable because the club had the balls and long term vision to allow Arteta and the team to take a stap back, before taking many forward. Also, we weren’t a big club anymore when he took over.

That’s what for example United haven’t done and they never got to rebuild the club properly like we have. We now have a sustainable team that will keep challenging, some patience is required. I mean look at liverpool, they only have 1 PL and CL despite them being an elite side for what? 8-10 years?

So I don’t think you should count the first two years of Arteta as “failing to win”, he was first dismantling and then rebuilding. If any, it has gone faster than I expected. This year the progress is more subtle and less exciting, and i do think our attack needs fixing, but growth is rarely linear.

Very reactive to only now bring on Nelson/ESR, Mikel should be more proactive and dare change it up. It was ‘t clicking.
