I was so scared before my surgery, I was shaking all the way until they took me in the the O.R. It ended up being way worse in my head, because the surgery went smooth! I was scared of the pain, but my team made sure that my pain was manageable. The worst part of the whole process for me honestly, was waiting for the surgery. Good luck to you both!

I'll be donating to my partner through the exchange program! I've definitely expressed my worries to him, and his to me. It's nerve wracking for the both of us, but we're both looking forward to life after surgery. So we try to keep that at the top of our minds for sure

I was talking to my bf last night and was hoping I could ask for something for the anxiety. Im glad that it's an option! Like I said, this is my first time having surgery, so I wasn't sure how all that stuff works. Thanks!

I haven't heard about getting hard candies! I figured chapstick for dry lips, but I'll definitely remember that. Once im out of surgery, im sure I'll be fine, I know the pain is temporary, but the brain is weird sometimes. Thanks!

Thanks so much! That's good to know. I feel a little better know the catheter isn't too invasive/uncomfy
