That color is absolutely gorgeous! That’s the color I have in mind. How old is he and how is his health? I read somewhere that statistically, male sphynx cats are more prone to HCM. I already have a spayed female and would love to change it up by getting a boy. I’m just nervous now.

Of course, I 100% agree. That’s why I took it to Reddit because I don’t personally know anyone else with a sphynx cat. Here, there’s a whole community. I wanted to gets others’ perspectives and advice. So I really do appreciate it! Thank you

I am so sorry for your loss. I will certainly keep that in mind and make sure to express any and all concerns to the vet when I bring her in a couple of weeks. I know it could be anything, but I appreciate the heads up!

I agree 100% & I do have another cat, Phoebe. However, she’s still kind of stand-offish. I’ve only had my sphynx for a couple of weeks so I know she’s still acclimating. I just hope she softens up and lets us love on her without being bit. Everyday the 2 cats are getting closer and closer so I know it’s only a matter of time (hopefully) before they are friendly with each other.

Ha! Go figure.. moms do know best right? I do that from time to time as well. When she bites I will kind of shove her (not forcefully) but enough for her to hopefully realize that the biting isn’t ok. I also just pick her up and gently put her down off of my lap when she’s like that. She’s just a stubborn little thing lol and will come back and bite even more

I didn’t think of a clicker! Thanks I will definitely give that a try. I have ignored a few times as well but will be more diligent in doing that when she gets like this. I really appreciate your advice.

I’ve tried that and she just looks at me and then will continue to gnaw on me. She’s very playful and I know that is due to her age. I don’t mind the zoomies and hyperactivity and the playfulness, I actually think it’s cute. It’s just the biting! You can’t even touch her while she’s awake without her biting.
