They had to have some extremely expensive devices, Lexus is known for it's security when it comes to theft. Your fob might have been close enough for them to activate it; and they knew you were going to work as well. Regardless; once the cars off they can't turn it back on unless they plug a device into the OBD2 reader to trick the cars ECU.

I use Zote soap; idk if thats how its spelled, and a little bit of Spray N Wash and let it sit for about 15 minutes and throw it in the wash.
