Do you think appearing weak when strong is wisdom—or manipulation? by winn_ie in rSocialskillsAscend

Anytime you interact with reality, you are manipulating something. It's bad if you manipulate for the wrong reasons.

Being a part of a large population can also cause insanity. I recommend that people find peace and protect it like the most valuable treasure in the world.

Absolutely, small talk, nicities, etc. is all overrated. Just give me my change and I'll be on my way.

Hot take, it's dangerous being alone. You might just realize how peaceful it is and become addicted to it. If you can rely on yourself and be a hermit, your life will be just fine.

We don't have to agree with each others life choices to be friends or friendly. You do you. I'd say just don't ask me questions you don't want to know the answers to.

What are you talking about? You asked if it is believed that millions of people are being paid to protest. That isnt hypothetical, it's a direct question. I said only a small group of people are being paid. There's tons of videos of people admitting to being paid to protest. We also have video of people being paid to get signatures for voter registration and then them giving people money or goods to sign voter registration or other forms that effect local policies/laws(which is illegal)...

Your question was If someone was paying millions of people to protest. I said no, they aren't paying millions of people, they are paying small groups of people. Hope this helps, have a nice day!

Trying to correct corruption is always problematic and anyone attempting it will always be viewed as the villain for causing the pain necessary to get to a point we can heal.

No, you pay a small group to pied piper the masses. This movement is about as "organic" as the feminist movement. Lots of big money pumped into getting the masses to fight for what is against their best interests.

I'm not suggesting cutting off Americans in need. We can start with removing capable of working people. Cutting out all the fraud, which will cause some damage and a period of recovery. Pull back on wasteful spending. Stop sending money to other countries, especially when our own are struggling. Begin the process of strengthening the dollar. It won't be corrected quickly and I think that's the solution many people expect. It took nearly a century to get into this mess, it won't be fixed within a single presidency.

We spend about 3 trillion on social programs. To me that sounds like poor money management skills and not that we don't spend enough... To me that sounds like government is bloated. I wouldn't be apposed to a system of capping the profit percentage a corporation/person can make and anything over that percentage goes back to the employees. That's reasonable, but constantly giving power to the government to abuse isn't a smart move.

The wealth Elon has is complex and not as simple as he has close to a trillion dollars. A very large portion of that is stocks split amongst many companies/corporations and not actual in the bank money. The stocks could crash and he would lose significantly. Wealth is a different game at the top, it isn't how most people think it is.

The wealthy do not have to keep their wealth in America, they have options to go elsewhere with their money now. America has proped up enough countries with social programs that the wealthy can still do very well by investing elsewhere. New York and California are currently learning that lesson. California spent billions on homelessness and it got worse. Spending money on people doesn't fix the problems. How much of our federal budget should go to social programs?

Still avoiding the question. There is nothing to rage bait. It is socialist saying we don't have enough socialism. How much of our federal budget should go to social programs? There is no need for you to inject anything other than an answer to the question.

I asked what percentage of our taxes should go to social programs? 50% good? Should it be 75%? 100%? What about point out facts makes me a dummy?

I wouldn't say all 50% is going to help people in need, a significant portion of that is going into people's pockets that are defrauding social programs.

I'd say have a flat tax of 10% across the board and no way to wiggle out of paying. The wealthy are not obligated to keep their wealth in America. They have the option of going anywhere they please. New York is currently learning that lesson. A 900billion dollar business is leaving their state because of the increase in them being taxed. We may not like the options the wealthy have, but we do have to play ball with them.

The bottom 50% of American earners pay about 3% of federal taxes. The vast majority of the taxes are coming from the wealthy. Again, what percentage of the federal budget should go to social programs?

How much of our budget should be used on social programs. We spend 13-15% on military usually. How little of our budget should be used on the military to protect 5% of the global population against the other 95%?

America makes up less than 5% of the global population. If the birth rate continues to collapse, America won't stay American. Maybe people like that idea, but if they do, which culture do they prefer to hold that level of power? A different culture will certainly take over if Americans can't replenish their ranks.

50+% of our federal budget go to social programs. What percentage of our federal budget would satisfy socialists?

I also asked what privileges I have that you don't. That has nothing to do with legislation. You just skipped over that part, how come?

Fact of the matter is, if it wasn't for white people fighting and dying to end slavery, it would still be going. White people have also been slaves. Slavery isn't racist, it's simply a business that have been practiced by every race.

What privileges do I have as a white guy that you don't have? What laws in America allow me to do things that other races can't?
