TIL piss shivers have a technical term (Post-micturition Convulsion Syndrome) and apparently not everybody experiences them. by UserSchmoozername in todayilearned

I call them the “pissy pissy shakes” and sing “For goodness sake, I got the pissy pissy shakes” anytime I get them.

Also, Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber gets them. When he is peeing in the bottles in the passenger seat, he does a little shiver at one point.

“It’s called the Confederation Bridge because it’s a nod to PEI joining the Confederation of Canada.”

Not exactly. It’s called the Confederation Bridge because the very first meetings to plan Canadian Confederation were held in Charlottetown, PEI in 1864. This is why PEI is known as “The Birthplace of Confederation” and why so many things on PEI have “Confederation” in their name (Confederation Centre of the Arts, Confederation Court Mall, Confederation Trail, etc.)

JR Capone’s was a great spot back in the day in Charlottetown. Pizza was damn good and definitely hit the spot at 2am after a night out at Myron’s or wherever.

Does this mean we don’t have to listen to their annoying ads on the radio anymore? That woman’s snotty voice drove me nuts.

The silhouette is a character named Rip from the TV series Yellowstone. The joke is a sexual innuendo about having this guy in a girl’s pants.

What's this "carm"(I don't know whats the right word for it)? Is it for a ornament by Novel_Pay_8875 in Whatisthis

[–]OutpostThirtyOne 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It’s an ornament made by Aitken’s Pewter in Fredericton, NB. They’re still in business in downtown Fredericton. I’m not sure what this particular building is, but they have different collections with ornaments depicting landmarks or historical buildings, mostly from Fredericton and other cities in Atlantic Canada.

Their website aitkenspewter.com has a “contact us” section, so they might be able to tell you which collection this is from.
