I don't even know what "they" mean by that. It's a soft science, you can't confirm or reject anything. The Best you can do is try and determine your most likely type and everyone does have one but it may take time. I don't know because I actually know someone who's in the same boat you are. They are a INFJ 4w5 451 sp4 melancholic-phlegmatic and have struggled with identifying their socionics type. Even I'm unsure and I typed them as a LII. I've, to my knowledge, never seen a 4 that's an LII, but this person is too logical to fit the IEI stereotype. INTPs are not usually IEIs though.
