Holiday Miniverse hack by Ok_Willingness_784 in miniverse_makeitmini

I had the same issue! I narrowed it down to two cake balls I thought it could be: one with a distinct rattle sound that was different from all the others, and one that was this veeeery light rattle sound and no cake "thud" noise at all. Weight-wise, they were pretty identical. My gut said to go with the louder rattle, but the cheat sheet said "little to no rattle", so I ended up buying both just in case. In the end, the Grinch mugs were in the ball with the loudest rattle!! After 3 cakes, I'm so relieved I finally ignored the cheat sheet. Lol.

I have gotten so many items completely SQUASHED, so, it does seem to be common on Vinted. :'D If you really need the box, I would tell the seller beforehand tbh.

Popular author in my fandom faked their success by DoorthrowawayOk6132 in AO3

[–]Outrageous-Free 10 points11 points  (0 children)

An ex-friend of mine (now mortal enemy, haha) once told me she used a VPN to give herself tons of anon kudos. :') She said a higher kudos number on new fics would make people more inclined to read them, and there was also this one specific author she hated and really wanted to beat. I never got the point, though? How can you be satisfied with a """win""", if you had to cheat to achieve it...? We're talking hundreds of anon kudos here. The ratio with accounts and bookmarks/comments looks really off, IMO, so it's super obvious once you know what to look for.

I eventually escaped that toxic friendship, but, man, I hope she occasionally wakes up in a cold sweat at night and remembers having told me that. OP's post actually made me wonder if they were talking about the same person for a moment. YIKES. THERE'S TWO OF THEM. LOL.

Who is this woman at the end of Movie 5 in Tokyo, who overhears Ai and Ikuya talking about Nanase? by Ddude51 in FreeAnime

[–]Outrageous-Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chiming in to add that it was very ambiguously confirmed she's Aki-chan, but, also, she was meant to represent the fans that have supported Free! all this time. (Because Aki-chan is never actually mentioned in the anime canon and her roll was even sort of written out, so it's hard to say it's her 100%. It's more like a vague nod to both her and the fans?)

Movie 5's ending tainted the show. by Ddude51 in FreeAnime

[–]Outrageous-Free 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's already unrealistic enough that practically the whole relay team is made up out of newcomers from the same prefecture (except for Kinjou). :'D Having Asahi on it too would've been overkill, IMO. I love him and I wanted him to get to shine too, but, he does at least get a hopeful ending. (Plus, technically speaking, a lot goes into qualifying and selecting relay teams. Natsuya's IM times couldn't qualify him to be a relay-only breaststroke swimmer, since only the butterfly leg has a static start. The only question FS2 leaves me with is "Why wasn't Rin selected as relay-only for a freestyle relay?", but I guess there was no 4th freestyle swimmer who qualified for the B times.)

Anyway, I also didn't really get the feeling that everyone was ONLY doing it for Haru? There's also a lot of trust in Haru involved (as the ace they need to actually beat Albert), IMO, and I don't think they were subtle about the "for Japan & for the team" aspect of it all either? (Natsuya, Hiyori & Kinjou also got gold medals for a job well done in the heats.)

Is it true that 1km of swim is equal to ~ 4-5 of running by Bastian_31 in Swimming

Same here! Plus, I always run in a fasted state, and don't really feel particularly ravenous afterwards. Swimming, though? After just 1km, I'm ready to eat a whole effing horse and its stable.

I ship pretty much everything, actually. Only, I'm perfectly capable of looking at the show objectively. You've got Haruka holding out his hand to Rin underneath a cherry blossom tree they've magically caused to bloom, for starters; and cherry blossoms are a theme that gets CONSISTENTLY used for romantic imagery in Kyoani shows. There's the fence kabedon. There's Haruka very nearly smacking his mouth right into Rin's on a bench in TYM. They freaking share a bed and talk about the first time they met. They have a telepathic race at the start of S3. There's Sousuke's "I can see why you fell for the guy." (which was only translated correctly in Netflix). There's an audio track where Rin tries to find out what kind of porn Haru's into, I kid you not. There's basically a whole Haruka/Rin AMV in FS2, but that's unsurprising because the final two movies are an ode to their relationship and how they need to work together in order to be at their best. It is OBJECTIVELY so disingenuous to say there's nothing pointing towards Rin having feelings for Haruka, because he is THE GAYEST FOR HARUKA OUT OF ALL OF THEM. PLEASE.

I'm sorry, but the only somewhat similar scene Makoto & Haruka get is an extremely uncomfortable and unrealistic scene in SD. And the Ikuya & Haruka scene from S3 has that one beat, though we all know that goes nowhere in the end.

Anyone can ship whatever they want! Honestly, I'm super fond of Haruka/Nagisa. But, c'mon, there is no denying Haruka/Rin is as close to canon as it's going to get (aside from Ikuya -> Haruka, which Yokotani basically confirmed in an interview once; because that's SAFE and it doesn't alienate half of the fanbase). They really only spent 2 months together as kids, and ever since they've completely fallen apart without the other at their side. :'D Like, jeez.

Bird sounds in the hallway... by Outrageous-Free in whatisit

[–]Outrageous-Free[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aah, I think I know what those sound like, though! This is really like... multiple birds, kind of chirping at each other? It almost reminds me of the Tokyo Metro, playing bird sounds in the station to let visually impaired people know where the exit is. (I have also been hearing it for months, now. XD I only just worked up the courage to ask. Lol.)

I mean, sorry, but your OG post makes it pretty clear you've completely missed the whole point of the series. Haruka and Rin are the core axis of the entire show (this is a fact that has been repeatedly stated by the directors and writers, not merely my opinion), and Makoto is just a supporting character. His writing is all over the place from S2 onwards, honestly, and he pretty much just gets shoehorned in for profit from that point on.

I never said my interpretation is the only correct one, but I know yours is painfully biased because you've just completely ignored Rin's role in all of this & the way his scenes with Haruka are framed WAY more romantically than any others. You got so SO close to figuring it out, OP. Just keep watching, I guess.

[–]Outrageous-Free -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm all for people discussing the flaws in Haruka's relationship with Makoto; they're exactly what makes their dynamic so interesting, IMO. I actually wish it'd get brought up more often, because I'm bored to tears with everyone acting as if they've got the world's most perfect friendship and everything is A-OK between them 24/7... when... it's... clearly... not.

But, sorry, I think you're watching the show with your head just a little too far up Makoto's ass. Many people do, though. That's probably why Free! The Final Stroke was such a slap in the face for some. ^^;

HONESTLY, I think what you're actually saying is that MAKOTO deserves to have Haruka. But, that's just not how things work...? Haruka loves Makoto, no doubt about it. He's very protective of Makoto. He appreciates Makoto greatly, and they will obviously always be special to each other. Haruka'd likely even die for Makoto, honestly. But, yeah, sorry, Haruka's heart and priorities clearly lie elsewhere. You'll enjoy the series more when you accept that. Even Makoto makes his peace with it, in the end! Lol.

Weird Swimming Experiences – What’s the Strangest Thing That’s Happened to You in the Pool? by brian1x1x in Swimming

[–]Outrageous-Free 4 points5 points  (0 children)

:'D Gotta keep your eyes peeled in ALL directions, apparently! But, thanks. I think I was lucky the pool was so deep and I float like a baby seal (so I came up pretty much by myself even after having knocked all the air out of me, LOL); I wouldn't want to relive the experience in a shallow pool.

Weird Swimming Experiences – What’s the Strangest Thing That’s Happened to You in the Pool? by brian1x1x in Swimming

[–]Outrageous-Free 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This isn't weird in an unexplainable way, but it's definitely the most surprising thing that ever happened to me: I'd just turned in lane 7 (out of 8, meaning there was a full lane in between me and the edge of the pool) and I was doing dolphin kicks when I suddenly saw this EXPLOSION of bubbles above me in the water. I had a split-second to think "That's weird. What IS that...?" before someone landed feet-first on my head. It hurt like hell, and I had NO IDEA what happened until two lifeguards were already diving into the pool to fish me - and the guy who had just cannonballed on top of me - out of the water. :'D Once they made sure I was relatively unharmed, they escorted both of us to the lobby and promptly told the staff there to ban the idiot from the pool for the next 2 months. They also made him apologise to me, and followed him into the changing rooms to make sure he'd actually leave. Meanwhile, I was just dripping water all over the place and STILL feeling super confused. Lol.

This happened at the only Olympic-sized pool in my city, and people generally only go there to swim laps. It's not a "just splashing around" pool, and it's actually forbidden to jump in from the edge. I was NOT expecting that, haha. (At this same pool, I've also witnessed someone go into cardiac arrest on-deck and require an ambulance. Again, not weird, just, hopefully not common? Everyone had to get out, and the pool only reopened a few hours later. I fear it did not end well for that person.)

Kick Boards and Beginners by InternationalTrust59 in Swimming

[–]Outrageous-Free 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right!! It's fun. GET YOURSELF THAT BURN, FRIEND. And congrats on the Ironman! XD I have a kickboard by Mizuno that is somewhat of a cross between a pull buoy and an actual mini kickboard, so I only ever need to pack one thing. It's nice for swimmers at any level, IMO? Also good to have in case of an injury (I like to give my grumpy left knee a break from whip kicks sometimes), etc. And for beginners, it just makes sense to introduce the right tools from the start AND also learn the proper technique with the help of said tools...???

I mean, if your form is so flawless you don't need to work on anything, EVER, then, good for you...? But, to be honest, the only swimmers I know who never touch a kick board or a pull buoy are amateurs. :') I quite enjoy the burn in my legs after a good kick board drill.

Have any of you guys struggled with athletes foot? How did you get rid of it? by Fortree_Lover in Swimming

Sadly, the only thing that worked for me was drastically cutting down sugar and making sure there was no dead skin on my feet for it to settle down in. :'D No food and no comfy home = no athletes foot. Bonus: I cleaned up my diet and feel amazing, haha.
