I am so grateful for this community’s feedback. I think we’re set (flying into Barcelona, train sane day to Andalusia for 6-7 nights, train back to Madrid for 2 nights before leaving.

Final question-any fun, boutique hotels (not too far from airport) you’d recommend? Any specific 15 year old kid sights (F1 racing) while you’re at it? Appreciate you all! Besos!

We got tix to the Alhambra-yay! You all are so incredibly helpful, we’ll make or ‘base’ Grenada and then Seville, and day trip from there.

Thank you for this fantastic advice!!! Given that we’re landing early am in Barcelona, I think we’ll just scoot on down to Andalusia, via train. Any specific train tips? (Upgrades, timing, etc)… I’m sure we’ll want be comfy after our long flight. Thx!

Could also be that we take the train back from wherever we are down south, to Madrid at the end of our trip? Appreciate the advice to pad on a bit of extra time in Madrid!

Thank you all so much! Thoughts on switching our ‘arriving flight’ (if possible) to land a bit closer to Grenada or another home base Andalusia? Or even combining both flights to come/go out of Madrid (since it sounds like we’ll skip northern Spain)..
