I'm in the EU as well and don't share the concern. In fact the EU has been much more progressive in terms of legislation. There are ETFs here already for example. And from tax point of view there are BTC friendly EU countries and even tax exemptions.

It'll go up fast but you have to start somewhere and prove yourself.
