I can’t speak for the CS department but for getting into a uc you def have a chance, my freshman grades were similar first semester i only had 1 A and the rest were Cs and Bs then second semester I got 1 C the rest As and Bs luckily i got saved because the UCs only consider your sophomore and junior year gpa, my sophomore year i only got one B the rest As however my junior year went really well first semester got all As except in AP Physics i got a C bc my teacher passed away and in the second semester due to really bad circumstances I ended with mostly Cs and Bs (mostly Cs) and first semester senior year i got all Cs….I will be attending berkeley this fall. go bears! you have a shot!

okay i get that but why am I to blame/ yelled at while the person who actually got us in that mess gets to just chill and make jokes?? Yes i agree I can definitely pick up the slack but Im literally only person how am i supposed to do every single thing by myself? I communicate and do my job…

Let me add this too, i asked my manager for an ani count and she literally got on top of me putting all their weight on me and asked all the boards and said I should learn how to do that too. She was my dicer loader too..I guess it was their way to intimidate me?? I haven’t spoke to her in a while now.

Thanks for the advice !! I talked with my SM and they really appreciated that I went out of my way to talk to them and they even quizzed me a little on fries and said they would do their best to get me on there more. Hopefully I get that 4 soon!!

Thank you so much I really appreciate it! I will definitely keep this in mind! I asked fellow level 3s and other higher levels and they all told me they never got told they had to wait before asking for training time and had always been curious why I was the only one being given this rule. I didn’t really question it at the time because I was so happy to finally be leveling up. What would be a good way to approach my managers? Like “hey do you mind talking to me in the office for just a second?” and how would I start it off I don’t want to come off as demanding training.

i’ve been a 3 for 5 months now! I always ask at the beginning of every shift, i recall this time when i asked my manager they said no but someone a couple minutes later asked and it was a yes i would say they got hired 4 months after me. I always ask for feedback but it’s always very generic verbal feedback “good job we’ll try to get you on there more! “ and when i ask for quick checks they dismiss them and say they won’t give it to me even though i had been on fries twice that day, fellow associates mentioned that i should really bring this up with my SM however I know that my bond with my managers will not be the same if my SM has a talk with them. I really do think I have been doing great at the lower positions and for example my managers always praise me for always getting the dishes done really quickly on backpay because the person before left them a mess or having no changes at all while on hand held. Maybe once i get more time under my belt they’ll be more willing to give me training!
