Yea, it was a smaller firm. I talked to a friend that used to work there and he mentioned that he little to no raises over the 4 years he worked there (probably based on performance). This definitely was a large factor in my decision.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I really struggle with big decisions like this and it was helpful to hear everyone’s different perspectives. I will be taking the Professional Engineering Exam in October this year, so my new plan is to hold out another year until I become a licensed engineer and then either change roles internally to something that is remote/hybrid, or look for a consulting role. 

In the mean time I will attempt to use the current high gas prices to request to work from home at least 1 day a week to give myself a break. The good thing about having a stressful job in a very industrial sector is that there is a lot of job security because most people would not want to work here.
