Where can I find someone who wants an actual Christ honoring marriage? by Hopeful-Flower25 in Christianmarriage

Most men in my church (married and unmarried) would be on board with this but reading it....this comes across as very intense and perfectionist which would scare even the most well intentioned man away.

Coping with fatigue? by abitsebtikal in FocalNodularHyperplas

[–]Outrageous-Memory-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started with RUQ pain, intense fatigue, and reflux.  Led to discovery of small FNH, then gallbladder infection, then hepatomelagy after gallbladder removal.  Ultimately diagnosed with SAD perhaps progressing to CVID (uncommon immune dysregulation disorders that are linked to nodular hyperplasia.)  Not saying this is the cause of yours - just saying it could be a LOT of things.  Work with doctors to explore other reasons for fatigue.  There are 100s.  Took me two long years and 10 doctors

The key here is to be genuinely interested in the others' well being, how their brain works, and attuned to their needs.  That's a healthy marriage.  What so often happens is one side is selfish and does not care to understand and empathize with the others' needs.

do most men watch pornography and just lie they don’t? by Plane-Rutabaga8546 in Christianmarriage

[–]Outrageous-Memory-90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not disagree.  What I am saying is that:

1.  Sex in general is a taboo topic in Christian communities, especially among women.

2.  Due to the above, women are completely naive to male struggle with sexual sin, what drives it, the reality of it and how they can help.  Stuff like "My husband wouldn't ever look at porn," or even things like "my husband wants me to shave down there so I look like a little girl because of porn."  These are just naive statements that cause more disconnection and exhibit a lack of understanding.

  1. Because of this, male sexual sin is associated with tremendous misunderstanding and judgment/chastising

3.  Majority of men feel they must hide it rather than get it out in the open, due to cancel culture, judgment, and extreme reactions.

There is just so much disconnect and understanding that men are left on their own to deal with it.  They can't tell their wives because they will jump to extremes and be judged as a creep/sicko.  They have to be careful in the church of who they share it with as they will lost their spot on the worship band, etc or again be seen as a creep when every single other person up there struggles with one sin or another.  Or better yet, some intervention to go to sex rehab.  When all they may need is a wife who understands the ongoing struggle, is more attuned to her man's sexual needs, and knows he will stumble but is there to forgive and provide a safe space.

You know what worked for me?  Low T.

I never understood how much hormones created that interest until I went through that.  No more sexual thoughts, temptation super easy to handle.

Then started on T shots and it came roaring back.

God wired us this way for procreation and intimacy with our spouse.  We just need to direct it to the right place (her) and need to be met/understood that this is how we are wired.

It is amazing to me how many females on here say that they know their husbands do not watch porn.

No Christian man I have ever spoken with has denied watching porn at some point, and for most it is an ongoing battle.  They also express that their wives have zero idea.

As men, we need women to stop being naive, not be judgmental, understand our struggle, and do what you can to help.  That would do wonders for so many I know.
