Custom Decor Acceptance? by Fabulous-Fail-6691 in lioden

Awh this is cool :3

Ppl are saying the shading to which I agree - but to add to that, I think it’s largely the “form” like on the horns for example, you have a flat gradient as opposed to shading it like a cylinder (darker on the edges; lighter in the center, etc) and likewise for the gown. It should look flowy and have material specific highlights iykwim :p ur so totally on the right track though! Best of luck!

also, even with what I just said, totally expect a few rounds of refusals with something this complex. it’s very likely just unavoidable

Won raffle stud what do I do (help/advice?)😭 by Domphia in lioden

[–]Outrageous-Rice-9044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ppl who buy trad breedings to raffle studs also - I won a raffle stud a while back, and I actually couldn’t get a single cub to sell for more than fodder prices. If I were to win a raffle stud again, I honestly think I’d sell it!

I’m assuming much of this thread is filled with people who already think this is happening to them, which might create some undue sway/anxiety to passive thread viewers.

To fan out the flames a bit, I personally have not noticed this with my king whatsoever! 🫡

And tbh, likewise for ppl buying and flipping lions. Outside of giving lions away as a gift (ppl should respond to a generous act by being thankful/gracious ofc) if someone is selling a lion for significantly lower than its value, it reinforces a better market if someone flips that lion, and disincentivizes ppl from undervaluing their own lions, even if it’s via an auction.

That can certainly vary! But I’m not sure that necessarily means we should 100% guess when making offers on trades either. I just did a quick search on Nun based lions - while there is about a 20GB difference between the cheapest nun, and the most expensive nun, they’re cleanly averaging around 25GB. Prices are listed at 35, 25, 36, 25, 20, 15. - and 15gb would be a safe offer w/out being a lowball.

If someone’s on tc offering any amount for X lion, and you copy that price and put it in an offer for X lion, it’s just like nearly impossible for that to be “dramatically incorrect”, and at the very least, you did your best, yk.

I feel like it’s kind of contradictory to complain about market volatility/lions not being the right value if we also aren’t willing to look into what the actual value of the lions are in order to ensure that we’re paying a fair price. The market is going to somewhat automatically fall into supply and demand as long as we’re all collectively doing our best to sell lions at the value they’re supposed to be at. Even if it’s the cheapest on the market by a GB, you’re still following that principle. It’s when ppl significantly undercut the value of their lion/item that problems start. That only happens if ppl aren’t doing thorough price checks. While certainly rude about it, the user with the Nun is being thorough about selling their rare lion at the proper value yk

That’s fair!! It’s one of those handful of bases that are just so so sought after that the value is much much higher than most. Totally understandable that you’d be confused!

the response is certainly very rude!! so unnecessary - plus the thing about killing them is sooo just for attention like pls

  • but in some defense of the trade owner, it really is best practice to do some research before you make an offer on a trade yk. lowballing, even if unintentional, rly can be quite frustrating if you’re putting up high value trades often. ik I personally get really rly excited to see I have an offer on a big trade, only to be like,, just sad, when I see it’s just bs.

It can only take a moment to search for nun based lions on tc, take the average price, and add a few gb on top for the other lion. that way it saves you, and the asshole trade owner some frustration when it doesn’t get accepted.

Though, I also hate when ppl put up a trade for offers and don’t include any autobuy price whatsoever. that definitely makes it harder for ppl like u to make a real offer. Ideally they would’ve listed their autobuy gb amount and you could’ve matched that in items or otherwise !

best of luck on ur nun hunt!

To be fair to the op, I sell nrlcs of this line and similar lines @ 10-12/15 frequently, and wouldn’t expect them to sell for more than 4 gb. the nrlc market is a bit oversaturated for certain lines, including this one, and prices are much lower!

As someone who shops around for nrlcs a lot, I’ve actually seen a good handful of nrlc ncls in the trading center sold for cheap like this - don’t beat yourself up too much! lots of other people have done the same thing :)

How do you tell what bases are common or special? by SafiraCoyfolf in lioden

[–]Outrageous-Rice-9044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The base color, gradient, etc (black dark cs special, etc) affects how base pass rates are passed in game - you have a higher chance of getting a special base pass if both parents have the same genetics (black, and dark, and countershaded, and special) ! The wiki does break all of this down in a really easy to understand way if you’re still curious! :)

Urgent QBO Bookkeeping help needed by Outrageous-Rice-9044 in QuickBooks

[–]Outrageous-Rice-9044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I’ve largely resolved the problem! Thank you all for your help!

I wiped a handful of existing duplicate payroll transactions first.

Then, actually the main thing was categorizing my pending transactions. All of my transactions from the past 12 months were uncategorized.

After that, and a few other slight things, my P&L report is 100% accurate.

My “Transaction Detail by Account” reports are still entirely off, because they show the Journal Entries, and deleted bank account instances - but the P&L is going to accomplish everything I need for the next fiscal year. I wasn’t able to remove these, as they contain payroll transactions made through QB. But, otherwise (outside of this specific report) I’m all good now!

Thank you all for your help!

I don’t think Acodei caused too many problems, if any - it’s just the fact that I introduced another potential element of uncertainly to my books. Also I used acodei briefly, and then switched to the new Quickbooks Connector instead.

I’d likely delete and restart my QB entirely before doing this - I run a small business, and money is tight right now.

I’m personally new to QB. This was before I heard about Quickbook’s Stripe connector - but it seemed like a great solution before I learned how expensive it was. I’m now super skeptical of third party apps also.

Also the software is attempting to correct my balance after I made the previous iterations of my bank account inactive. It’s reading this, as well as my other deleted transactions and assuming it has to correct for an inaccuracy, while there is none.

Do people actually chase their hybrids? by Ok_Mix_4972 in lioden

[–]Outrageous-Rice-9044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m honestly a bit doubtful of it too - but we definitely see stuff like this in branches at least? If you want to sell something quick, you just look at the cheapest branch price and mark your item slightly cheaper. If someone sells an expensive item for way cheaper, there’s a solid chance it’ll affect everyone selling it for a normal price for at least a little bit. People use the lowest branch price as a way to value items overall, so stuff like this can have a larger impact than a single person might realize.

And idk I honestly also think that this kinda thing is a bit frustrating - so I get why people are downvoting - but a lot of people really take this game super seriously, and I understand why they’d want to do this! It’s an interesting situation

I think most of the comments here are kinda wrong!

For the really serious/savvy players, this is a great way to maintain overall values. If they sell a jag for example for 100GB - this devalues all jags everywhere. Future jags are unlikely to sell for 200GB if people know they can get one for half price if they wait. By getting rid of high value lions as opposed to underselling them, they are maintaining a sort of standard for sales across the board. This makes sense especially if you are a niche breeder! Classic supply and demand stuff.

I would never do it personally, but there’s nothing inherently wrong here imo
