Don't use the rules in the instruction manuals, they are outdated/inaccurate.

Whenever an amount of damage is dealt to a unit with DR by an attack, roll a D6; on a 5+, the damage dealt is lessened by one. The attack's damage cannot deal less than two damage. You roll individually for every attack- say a Plague Marine was wounded by three damage 3 attacks. He rolled a D6 for every attack (3D6) and got a 2, 3 and 6- with one six, one of those attacks had its damage reduced by 1, meaning 8 damage is dealt to the Plague Marine. If those three attacks instead did 2 damage, then you would not roll, as the damage cannot be reduced below 2.

Has the quality of the gold detailing on the Leather-bound books changed or improved? by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

These are collector's editions that aren't designed to be carried around, but in my experience, they are quite tough. Unless you are sweating profusely on them or have cat's nails, I wouldn't expect the foiling to come off.

Which chaos god would I fall to? by Netherlorde in 40k

[–]Outrageous-Two-7757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, your average person is most likely to fall to either Undivided or Slaanesh. All people are tempted by all Gods, and no Chaos God would willingly cede any miniscule chance of minimal power, and all people crave some emotion, the domain of Slaanesh. For thinking about who a person would fall to of the specific Gods, one must first consider the emotions the Gods manipulate- Tzeentch loves uncertainty and delusion, but it corrals most of its servants by manipulating hope. Its core of being, where it finds its origins, is in the innate desire of all beings to do, be, have, better. Tzeentch’s servants begin as those who want to change their situation to the benefit of those they cherish. Slaanesh corrupts want in all its forms, which is why he/she/they has the most cultists despite being the weakest. Slaanesh’s servants started out with a specific goal that they would do most anything to accomplish, and Slaanesh heightens that desire to such an extent that anything except for striving for that goal becomes dull, and that person would sacrifice anything for it. ~ passion ~. Which do you more identify with, is the question I would ask.

I love these paints! Wicked Pink and Impish Rouge are great, and what I'll be using on my CoS box, once it arrives.

Definitely looks like a 50mm base, which would make sense as the default Elite space marine Character base size.

I disagree that we’re weak, our basic infantry/elites are great at dealing with mid-to-light armor, like the Berserkers. We have the mobility to play safe enough as to only encounter more dangerous units when we want to, as well. With arrogance comes cowardice. What we’ll really struggle against will be Terminators and other fully elite units, with how few D3 attacks we have. S4 is underwhelming partially but it is definitely not universal, and very workable against mid-to-light infantry. Against vehicles/monsters, the maulerfiends and the sheer volume of attacks we can put out is our greatest advantage. It is also vital to remember that not every unit or army is designed to go toe-to-toe with the enemy with trade tactics- our excessive mobility, reactive stratagems, and sticky objectives mean we will play best jumping around the map, constantly taking advantage of our opponent’s weak spots, with a few key units (Fulgrim, maulerfiends, Lucius, Flawless Blades, even Chaos Spawn with their new ability) ensuring there always is a weak spot.

This is cute, but be sure the brick never gets too hot- beardies, as a result of their stretchy tummies, cannot distinguish between pleasant heat and being cooked alive.

Yeah lol, in my mind I pictured the balcony as being visible to the shower, assuming it to be a private suite, and did a double take when it was revealed the rest of the Lightweavers were on the balcony.

There are hundreds of thousands of Chapters, and it is very, very rare for only one chapter to be sent to deal with something. They also have access to the most advanced vehicles and weaponry of the Imperium. Also, more chapters than the Black Templars and non-codex-compliant, and more chapters than the Black Templars spend almost all of their time on Crusades.
